So it's ok if the Bush Administration conducts this deal in secret with no transparrancy or overview by congress. All of it in the dark, but it's not ok for Congress to perform it's oversite of this secret deal?

Show me the minutes of these secret meetings and I might change my mind.

Uh they were follwing a Congressional law, that mandated the discussion of the business transaction be held in secret.

CONGRESS wrote the law REQUIRING these transactions be handled EXACTLY as they were in this case.

Take it up with Congress if you don't like it. President Bush's administration handled this deal according to the LAW. Refernece Judge Andrew Napalitano.

Ask congress. They are the ones that wrote the laws that allowed for secret meetings, for lower level people to make the decision and for Congress to not have oversite.

This was NOT a "secret" deal. It was announced, in many newspapers LAST NOVEMBER! The Congress has NO say so, NONE, in such deals and the president doesn't, either.

And herein lies the problem. Most people have absolutely NO idea what they're talking about, have swallowed, as whole cloth, the rabid, disingenuous propaganda spewed out by the likes of Chuckles Schumer, Hillary Clinton, the N.Y. Times, and the crapola posted by completely UNINFORMED FREEPERS, all screamed at an hysterical pitch. WELCOME TO THE SALEM WITCH TRIALS!

Look up the law. There are no secrets except in the cobwebs in your own brain.

What secret meetings??? This deal started in November 2005. It then turned in to a bidding war between DP World and PSA in Singapore. It was all over the financial pages. Heck, even the NY times wrote articles about it prior to the deal coming down. This was no secret - it just was not a priority at the time. Everyone was more focused on taking the President down via Cheney's hunting accident. Where was the outrage back in Nov?
