Breaking Proven reliable sources tell me that in tomorrow morning's edition of the NYT, the leftist paper will reveal that DOD has embedded military rapid reaction teams at a number of US embassies abroad.
The Times is again giving our enemies hard intel they need to be more effective on the worldwide terrorism battlefield.
The concept was very simple; When we got intel that known terrs were operating in a specific area, the US team already in place would be able to snatch them quickly. Because the team is already there, entry problems would be eliminated and reaction time would be much faster. Terrs know how long it takes to get a Delta/SEAL/Snakeeater team out of US or forward area bases and into operational areas, so they know how long they can stay in an area themselves.
Under the new "pre-placement" plan, the reaction time was reduced from days to minutes.
I don't have full details yet, but sources believe not all countries where "pre-placed" teams are located knew they were there. In fact, majority of countries probably did not know small teams of our troops were ready to operate on their ground. Is assumed there were there under civilian cover or perhaps listed as part of the USMC security detachment.
The idea was simple. The snatches would be quick and quiet. Terrs would be removed to other country, possibly Guantanimo, often using business jets borrowed from legitimate US companies, and no one would ever know how or why they disappeared.
Now, thanks to NYT, all is blown!
The RNC paid for the call, so I made sure they got their money's worth. I gave them a litany of reasons to justify why they don't deserve a single penny from me.
Sadly anyone can obtain info on what Socom has been commissioned to do in principle. It does not take much imagination to realize they will do many covert operations as required. But surely the NYT's could have not printed this. It serves no purpose. Their specifics where to darn revealing. The leaker(s) should be found and tried for breaking SECOPS, on this one.
Liberal here.
This is too funny. The NYT has a story expected to roll tomorrow, yet Right-leaning Drudge and a freeper report it first this evening, and everyone is ready to indict the Times for treason.
More than likely the story will in fact appear in tomorrow's edition; there's absolutely no reason to report on it before that time, however. In the rush to crucify a liberal newspaper, some conservatives have demonstrated the same lapse in judgement that could possibly diminish this nation's ability to effectively combat terrorism worldwide.

How, why and when did the MSM sell out the American country? I was trained in Journalism, but went into Real Estate instead. Real Estate was good for me, but maybe I would have been good for journalism. :o(
Nah - This is a great plan and this NYT story will do nothing to make it less effective.
Without a doubt putting Socom in the lead role of gathering Intel on potential strikes/targets in the WOT is 100% the right course of action.
That was my 1st thought.
The only enemies that read FR already have a subscription to the NY Times...
you don't think there wont be some sticky wickets from some countries about our spiriting away people in their countries without "due process?" - a great propaganda coup for our enemies - who start on The Hill
(Of course, to me, "due process" is exactly what his plan does - )
I wrote last night that the media and the traitors on The Hill (who may have sweaty brows about the investigations re the leaks) would be pulling every nasty thing they could to drown out the story
Hang on, it's going to be a bumpy ride
Re #33 -
I've been banned for a couple of weeks for less.
Good luck!
Having said that, I'd sorta like for some of said "Snake-eaters" to have a little midnight chat with some of these Slimes Editors and their fellow traitors posing as "Journalists", and see if they can't convince them of the error of their ways...
If you get my drift....
This stuff goes WAAAAAAAAAY beyond any reasonable interpretation of First Amendment "rights", and domestic enemies clearly need to be dealt with appropriately if we are to survive as a Nation.
Sad thing is; they probably won't be.
Something desperately needs to be done, and it's pretty obvious that the Courts and the Justice Department don't have what it takes to do it.
And that strange unwillingness or inability might come all the way from the White House for all we know, given the way that the border situation is being mishandled.
We used to trust the "Leadership" of our beloved Country...
...But can we still afford to do that?
Stay tuned, America.
I wouldn't put much faith into FISA. I just came across a very interesting article posted here yesterday by 'Sweetjutusnow', which gives the history of FISA, it is quite eye-opening to read the entire article. It seems it didn't receive much attention, but I would consider it a "must read" for everyone.
Jimmys Carters Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act was the culmination of a very successful campaign by the Washington-based Marxist-Leninist Institute of Policies Studies and the KGB to permanently cripple Americas intelligence services. To understand how this came about it is necessary to take a brief look at the institutes America-hating founders.
I think he goes both ways.
Blow it out yer ear Lib
Drudge is just a yellow journalist too
Your oasis has dried up.
Oh those liberals are a bastion of steadfastness
I am reminded of the ongoing Moth/Bat evolution.

Terrorists have been with us a long time - they will be with us a long time - we and they will evolve - and continue to evolve - we will always have the upper hand because we have more resources - they will always succeed in small measues because they are random and unpredictable.
Some of us will die in the process.
I vote for the NYT and their informers to be at the head of the list.
Thank you
