Democrat for Senate: Kill practicing 'gays'

Merrill Keiser

A Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate in Ohio wants to make homosexual behavior a capital crime punishable by the death penalty.

Merrill Keiser Jr. is a trucker with no political experience, but he hopes to beat fellow Democrat Rep. Sherrod Brown in the May primary. The winner will try to unseat Republican incumbent Sen. Mike DeWine, assuming he wins the GOP primary.

"Just like we have laws against murder, we have laws against stealing, we have laws against taking drugs – we should have laws against immoral conduct," Keiser told WTOL-TV in Toledo.

Keiser, 61, says he's running as a Democrat because that's how he was registered the last time he voted.

The trucker, who hails from Fremont, Ohio, says there needs to be more adherence to biblical values in government, business and education – something he claims DeWine is not promoting.

"I believe that the United States has been moved in a Godless direction by the courts," he told the Sandusky Register. "To get good men on the court, we need good senators."

Some of Keiser's other positions include defense of the Second Amendment, securing U.S. borders, lower taxes to stimulate the economy, support of Israel and prayer in public schools.

Keiser told the Register the United States should make conversion to Christianity part of the war on terror to teach Muslims the error of their choice in religion.

The candidate also decries evolution, saying it is contrary to the Declaration of Independence.

I read CCF's comment about Rudolph and I don't think he was calling him a hero. It's a pretty unclear post with some sarcasm, not clear to me anyway.

None the less, if it is labeling him hero, then I descent. I'm just not sure that's what he intended. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt and wish he'd clarify.

Your interpretation of the St. Paul epistle to the Romans is horribly superficial and unchristian. Paul did not mean to put gays to death by another man, he was referring to their eternal death after Judgment Day.

Again if you are advocating the physical killing of gays, I think you should be banned from FR because you are tarnishing our reputation.

So answer the following question:

Are you directly or indirectly advocating the physical killing of gays?

Actually, plenty of eyes get batted. I'm sure you've noticed them getting batted around here. The Democrats' lack of respect for human life is their own problem.

Killing unborn kid = bad. Killing gay person just for being gay also = bad. Killing a convicted murderer, on the other hand...

It was because there seemed to be a differentiation between your view and CCF's - as, in fact, there was.

One seldom encounters real evil these days but I believe I've encountered it on this thread. I don't even mean it offensively, but neither you nor CCF will get your way with respect to the United States Government executing homosexuals, ever, not while I draw breath.

You've told me what you stand for and that's what I stand for. Perhaps we can part peacefully. I wish you a good evening.

...the Pharisees brought Christ a woman accused of adultery and the narrative (not ethical guideline) is a story of a shameful situation in which they try to entrap Jesus so that they may have a charge to bring against him.

They failed to bring in the adulterer as required by Mosaic Law. How can there be an adulteress with no adulterer?

You are not answering my question, so I conclude that you are advocating the physical killing of gays. I will work very hard on having the mods ban you from this great forum. You do not deserve to here but rather belong to those hateful neo-nazi sites.

The state must carry it out.

Fine. The state should kill homosexuals.

Just keep in mind that your position is anti-American. The Founding Fathers purposely did NOT create a society like the one you envision.

Where is American history did Franklin/Jefferson/Adams EVER advocate executing homosexuals?

God says that people who work on the Sabbath should be killed.

Do you believe that people who work on the Sabbath should be killed?

Why won't you answer that simple question?

"If someone had assassinated Hitler early on, would you say that person is a criminal or a hero?"

You're not very bright, are you?

Had someone assassinated Hitler "early on" as you said, then Hitler would not have committed the crimes against humanity that would support his "early on" assassination as being a good thing, so your post is moronic.

You work Sundays, don't you?

No he even goes out to eat on Sundays so the Mrs. won't have to work at home in the kitchen.

Since the waitress is going to hell anyway, why not?

No one here is advocating "killing" practicing homosexuals

Coulter Fan: "They are worthy of death, yes."

Actually your corollary is misplaced. For one to state that homosexuals or anyone else should face capital punishment or to simply state that they are worthy of death, is political speech, nothing more, nothing less. Even though most people find that sort of speech not within their own views, it is still protected by the U.S. Constitution.

There is no equivalence between political speech and actually uttering a bonafide threat such as stating " I am going to kill...", "I will pay you to kill....",etc. These are statments that are clearly unlawful and not protected by the 1st amendment.

I find it very surprising that anyone on FR would even pretend to be too stupid to understand the difference, that line of thinking is more suited to the dimwits on DU.

Just keep in mind that your position is anti-American. The Founding Fathers purposely did NOT create a society like the one you envision. Where is American history did Franklin/Jefferson/Adams EVER advocate executing homosexuals?

Where did I ever state that my position was based on American history?

The Biblical mandate of capital punishment for pedophiles is not an American position either, but none the less the right one Biblically. We don't assign capital punishment to rapists. We don't do it to most murderers. We don't do it to kidnappers, but God's Law states we should. This isn't some big revelation. The Scriptures state that governments that take even 10% of your income in taxes is excessive. So what? Do we honor that command here in the U.S.. No, we don't. Do my positions on these make me Anti-American as you say? No they don't.

I am a believer in Christ Jesus and I am bound by The Scriptures whether I like the command or not. I don't choose my Scriptures like a buffet.

My wife and I have a function this summer, we have a mutual acquittance who is a homosexual. I purposefully scheduled a seat at his table so I can talk to him about The Gospel. I sat at his table last year. Him and I get along great. I have one thing in mind, talk to him about Christ. What our government does is immaterial.

You guys can't seem to understand that my position on this subject is one of Biblical origins. It is not something that is going to happen in the United States for quite some time if ever. I definitely don't believe it will be in my lifetime.

The Scriptures state that as more of the world come to Christ the nations will return to honoring God's Law. This is obviously an on going process through history. I don't live in the climax of history so I will probably not see this in my lifetime. So be it. I will preach the gospel to homosexuals and pedophiles and rapists and murderers just like I would if we honored God's commands in this country. Regardless of what our government does, my job is still the same.

Good night to you Bill.
