When the controversy over the taxpayer-funded ad campaign emerged late last year, commission boss Kris Perry was eager to provide cover for Reiner, whose previous initiative created the agency she runs.

Last week, we e-mailed this question to Perry's press aide three times:

“If there is a criminal inquiry into this matter, as some legislators want, are you prepared to testify under oath that it was just a 'coincidence' that the preschool ads were purchased at the same time Reiner was gathering signatures for his initiative?”

The Libs don't seem to have any misgivings about stealing from families and children. What is a government agency doing advertising anyway?
