The only metro area I know of with a large "white hispanic" population is Miami.
Many Puerto Ricans I've met have been as white as most Sicilians and Napolese. I've seen a number even with blue eyes. Interestingly:

Very few are white.
If Hispanics are ordinary whites (and 10-30% of many Latin American countries are) they tend to blend right into the general US white population without any difficulty, other than people tripping over the correct pronunciation of names like Alex Caballero, a kid at my high school.
In fact, most of these white Hispanics I've met want nothing to do with the Hispanic grievance class, which is a union mainly of Mexicans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans. Many openly speak down about the Mestizo, Indian and Mullato Hispanics, and joke about how Mexico and other countries are sending the worst trash out of their gutters to the US every year through illegal immigration. They are far more sanguine about what is going on than a typical politically correct American.
What this WHOLE debate about who is white and who isn't is all about not being considered black and all that comes along with that. I am sorry to say that living where I live many of the Salvadoreans don't like black people and want the white priviledge. They don't want to be white, just want what white people have. I remember this guy was trying to hit on me constantly well that all ended abruptly when he saw my mother (thankfully!). He was even darker than me go figure BUT because he had some light eyes somehow that made him as white as Rutger Hauer.
A million of them will be on Calle Ocho for the big celebration this Sunday. Guess where I will be then? Right there guzzling cerveza and ogling hot Latina chix.

and the best looking ones too....ok everyone can call me racist now but the Cuban and South American women in MyAmUh are the hottest lot of them around to be found this side of Altamira, Caracas or Avenida Quince in Bogota on a weekend night.

Yes, most of those are Cuban Jews who arrived from Europe in the 20's and 30's, then onward to the US.
