Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
September 11, 2006, dawned rather warm but clear except for a few whips of cirrus clouds toward the southeast, what was left over from some severe thunderstorms that had blanketed the area.
It is 8:30 AM, and a non-descript panel truck, like so many others on the roads that morning, crosses the Potomac River on Highway 66 heading eastbound into the District of Columbia. The driver has the radio tuned to 1500 AM, listening to the morning news.
At approximately the same time, another man dressed in a suit toting a suitcase on wheels, the contraption having the appearance of a mobile laptop case, boards the Six Train at Grand Central, heading south.
Across the ocean, it is a damp dreary afternoon in England. At 1:35 in the afternoon, an individual with a suitcase begins a stroll heading toward Downing Street.
Meanwhile, at 2:37 PM, in Paris, another delivery truck, similar to the one in Washington, DC, spies the Arc de Triomphe and begins heading toward the landmark.
At 4:40 PM, with a chill harkening the advent of the coming harsh winter that is so typical of Russia, a man begins a stroll across Red Square. He is holding a somewhat largish briefcase.
At 3:40 PM, four people board four buses throughout Israel, all wearing large backpacks. One of the buses is in Tel Aviv, the other three scattered roughly equally throughout the country.
Meanwhile back in New York, another man with a briefcase gets cleared in to see the Secretary General of the UN. The time in New York is now 8:42 AM. The man on the Six Train has reached the City Hall station and has debarked the subway. The driver in Washington, DC, turns north onto 17th Street from E Street.
In Tokyo, a man is seen walking toward the Imperial Palace, it is 9:45 PM local. What cannot be made out easily is under this man's overcoat is a carrying case strapped to his back.
Back in New York, the Secretary General of the UN opens his door to a scheduled meeting. The emissary walks in and sits down in the meeting, putting his briefcase on the table. He pushes the two buttons holding the latches simultaneously.
The man exiting the subway in New York is standing in front of City Hall, he pushes the handle in his roller case to the down position.
In London, the man with the suitcase sets it down and casually opens one of the side pouches, making sure the zipper goes all the way to the end of its travel.
Over in Moscow, the man in Red Square, unbeknowst to anyone, pulls out what appears to be car keys with a remote transmitter and pushes the "panic" button.
In Tokyo, the man takes off his overcoat, and in so doing separates a small wire connected to the carrying case on his back.
In Paris, at the Arc de Triomphe, the delivery truck driver stops his vehicle, steps to the back and throws up the back door. It stops about two-thirds of the way up, abruptly, having gotten caught on a latch.
In Israel, all of the bus riders take off their backpacks and open them up. Reaching in, each of the four push a little red button that isn't visible to any of the other passengers.
In Washington, DC, the truck driver turns right from 17th Street and heads down H Street. He retunes the radio. As his finger leans on the "tune" button, the numbers spin down--1400, 1300, 1200, 1100, 1000, 900, 800, 700. He passes the intersection of 16th and H Street. The Department of Veterans Affairs building is approaching on his left. The radio tuner settles on WMAL, with a frequency of 630 AM.
The time is now 8:47 Eastern Daylight Time.
A bright blinding light arcs across Washington, DC. Similar scenes are repeated throughout New York, Moscow, Paris, London, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, and three other places in Israel.
Also at 8:47 AM Eastern, the President of Iran releases a statement. It reads: Today, on this the fifth anniversary of the blessed nineteen who struck at the heart of the Great Satin America, eleven martyrs gave their lives to wipe out the Zionist enemy and spread the cause of Islam. The nuclear jihad is underway.
And that, ladies and gentlemen is why we are fighting this war, why the detractors are wrong, why it doesn't matter that manipulated polls put the President's approval rating at 34%, and why we must never let nuclear weapons get in the hands of our enemy.
