Clooney's acceptance speech made me sick. He is so smug, and so snide. His comment, "I am proud to be out of touch", is just indicative of what a jerk he is. We should all remember that when ANY of his movies came out, and say "we are PROUD to be OUT of touch with him, and his silly movies. And he had to remind everyone that he had been named sexiest man of the year. He is absolutley in love with himself!!!

FYI, In Clonney speech, Hattie McDaniel, "Mammy" from gone with the wind did win an Oscar, but she was not allowed to attend because she was black...guess George should have looked that up...lol

i didn't watch the oscars so I didn't see his acceptance speech and I know he is a huge lib but I think he deserved the oscar I mean he had an injury on the set that was so severe he had spinal fluid leaking out of his nose! Any one that can come back from that and finish the movie with the ability to act at all should get an acting oscar regardless of the politics of the film

I've always had a hard time seeing Clooney as a sex symbol. My first memory of him was as a regular on "Rosanne," playing the homely Jackie's sensitive boyfriend.

BTW, speaking of the oscars, did anyone else have a hard time first recognizing Jennifer Lopez? She always had a distict broad nose. I think her nose shrunk.
