FYI, In Clonney speech, Hattie McDaniel, "Mammy" from gone with the wind did win an Oscar, but she was not allowed to attend because she was black...guess George should have looked that up...lol
Correction...she attended the awards, but was forced to sit in the back at a table just for her and her escort.
I just saw a clip of Ms. McDaniel accepting her award. So she was allowed to accept the award but not attend the cermemony? Guess I better google this.
