HAS ANYBODY SAID IT YET? BOYCOTT THE OSCARS (Oscars Live Thread)

I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.
Pass it on...

Dang. I can't believe it wasn't even nominated for the score or special effects.

Too bad GL casted Keira Knightly as Padme's handmaiden in stead of Padme. Natalie Portman truly sucked in that triology and maybe Keira would have been better. No, as long as they were being directed by Lucas and reading dialogue written by him, even Keira would've come across as wooden as a kitchen table. Lucas' reverse Midas touch can suck the talent out of even the best actors, from Sam Jackson to Ewan MacGregor. As Harrison Ford once told him, "George, you can type this s**t, but you can't say it."

I thought he was more indirectly funny than hell......and he was hitting the right buttons with me.
I dunno, due to his liberal inclinations, I thought those statements were largely ironic.

Green is the 'IN' color this season.

I'm at a bit of a disadvantage...I didn't see any of those movies. Very few people did.
So I don't exactly have favorites, except that I want Jouquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon to win.
Who names their kids River and Jouquin???

Actually I thought Sam Jackson and Ewan McGregor did a great job. Even Hayden Christensen was okay and Ian McDiarmid was incredible as the Emperor. The only one lacking in acting ability was Ms. Portman.

I loved her line from
The Mummy: "Nasty little men like you ooooooolways get their comeuppance. Oooooooolways."
I've used that line on occasion.
