I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.
Pass it on...
I have to wash my hair.
I would not dignify that self-indulgent bunch of morons with a boycott.
All I want to hear tomorrow is that all the favs lost.
The Oscars are trying to out-gay the Tony Awards.
Oscar and Felix?
I plan to be listening to Drudge...(and hoping that Coulter will be his guest).
Ollie North has a timely "War Stories" tonight, called 'Hollywood Goes To War'. It's about how Hollywood and actors actually helped out during previous wars (esp. WWII) by making war movies, etc.
I'll have to remember to get a TV so I can not turn it on to not watch the oscars...
But...but...then we'd miss all of the free public policy advice being offered by the pretty people. Critical advice from people who by the grace of being infront of a camera have become experts about who we should vote for, when we should surrender, which side of the street we should walk on (the wild side). Besides, some the pretty people might get really mad at us and move to another country.
"Here's an alternative...a new "War Stories" with Ollie North on Fox News Channel.
It's about the good old days when Hollywood actually was an American enterprise.
You know, when Hollywood supported the military. (OK, it was because our
gifts of planes and equipment saved the USSR from being overrun by the Wehrmacht)
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,186520,00.html"
Great idea! So great it needed to be said twice!
Perhaps a live thread will materialize.
So, are we boycotting the Oscars or is this the Oscars Live Thread?
Don't want to sully my record.
Well I guess you could call Broked**k Mountain "Bend Him"
I agree about Shelley Winters' acting ability. She's not one of my favorites and not admirable in her personal life, but she was a true actress and not just some movie star.
Me 2
My hubby and I just bought Walk the Line, so we'll watch that after grilling up a few steaks and opening up a bottle o' vino.
Here, too, no TV. Either gonna watch "Die Hard" or freep.
Weren't these worthless ceremonies FReeped in the past?
I could care less.
" agree about Shelley Winters' acting ability."
I'm thinking they are going to diss her, you know. I hope not.
