I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.
Pass it on...
Yeah, I remember reading that River had sort of a goofy upbringing; guess Joaquin did, too.
No... my perspective is fine. She looked like she could arm wrestle a lion.
I'd like to thank my HS Typing Teacher.
I don't know what Crash is, but Clooney was NOT involved.
Now comes two of my favorite actors: Tom Hanks and Jack Nicholson.
Some of the actors have websites where you can get contact info, or just call the Screen Actors Guild and ask. I always called SAG to find out, but haven't done so for years...
I like how they shut down the other guy accepting the screenplay award with Paul Haggis. As soon as he steps up to the mike, the music is on and the lights go out. You could see the crowd react negatively to his screwing.
As co-manager of the Biblipath Ping List (with Physicist), I couldn't agree more with McMurty (it was McMurty, right? I'm not watching; just freeping).
Pretty blue state.
You cant get much more liberal than donating to Hillary. *puke*
I like Reece otherwise though.
AHA! I knew all along Dick Morris was a FReeper!
He's gone insane....big brain fart....I can't believe he had anything to do with a homo sheep herder movie! UGH
That's Jack McMurtry, and he's written some damn fine westerns.
You win the "Best Obscure Cultural Reference" award, because I don't have a clue what you're talking about.
Tom Hanks coming up. Will check out the weight thing again.
I cannot understand these actors who put on or take off huge amounts of weight for rolls.
I mean for Castaway he became a skeleton and now, he's apparently put on a lot of weight for a film. Clooney did it too. I could never do that.
If I put on weight, I couldn't get it back off. I fight it daily as it is.
Let's see . . .
So far tonight, I've watched the Tennessee Lady Vols beat LSU for the SEC conference championship . . .
Some high school basketball game on MetroSports . . .
A bit of the UMKC-Chicago State game in the Mid-Con basketball tournament . . .
Some of "Sports Disasters" on TLC . . .
The NCAA Division II men's and women's basketball tournament selection show . . .
and I'm now watching "Gunner Palace" on the Discovery-Times (yes, THAT "Times") channel.
Is something going on in Hollywood?
I apologize dear. I shoulda figured that.
(bowing)
agreed...the left appropriated blue when the media gave them the chance....there are no limits to their hypocrisy
Well, in some settings, that might come in handy.
Oh. one thing, though I got the impression she was a liberal from seeing her on Letterman and Leno and comments she made on there -- plus someone posted she gave $500 to Hillary which kind of confirms it.
He was Sinatra'd!
I will laugh my ass off if Crash manages to beat Brokeback Mountain. It'll be their own fault because they overhyped it so much that there was time for a backlash.
