I suppose on this thread it goes without saying, but I'll say in anyway...BOYCOTT THE OSCARS tonight.
I want the ratings for this year's program go into the toilet (where most the nominated movies belong). I won't waste my money to see the films, my electricity to watch the Oscars, or my time watching to witness Hollywood's self-adulation fest.
Pass it on...
"Here's an alternative...a new "War Stories" with Ollie North on Fox News Channel. It's about the good old days when Hollywood actually was an American enterprise."
Just compare "Casablanca" with "Syriana". It'll tell you everything you need to know about the decline of Hollywood.
Gonzaga is playing tonight. Even if they weren't, I still wouldn't watch.
I never watch that garbage.
On FOX cable at 8pm - War Stories - Oliver North tells the story of how Hollywood helped the morale of America during WWII.
I'm hoping it will cause a lot of people to realize this crop of Hollywoodites are not willing to support America.
"I lost interest when Saving Private Ryan didn't win best picture."
I'm with you. I thought "The Aviator" was a great picture. But the only way it would have won is if they had euthanized Howard Hughes at the end.
More like that he wants to pick up a few pointers for his next hate tape.
Wow! You must have an interesting life!
We just got back from seeing Curious George :)
They started going downhill when Marlon Brando got on his soapbox and started rambling many years ago, and have gotten progessively worse.
Couldn't pay me to watch those self absorbed pampered freaks who think they have some importance to our society.
Darn, I'll just have to miss them this year ... I'm having my nostrils waxed.
Have not watched since Marlon Brando and Sacheen Littlefeather did their little stunt
I didn't think anybody needed to say it...
What do you have against oscars? Okay, they're ugly as fish go, but they're not so bad.
"hasn't been FReep'd yet!"
'Tis now been freeped.

In honor of the Oscars we are going to dine tonight on hot dog and baked bean casserole and see what happens:-)
LOL
hmm...I've heard Howie say it but maybe he got the line from Pat Buchanan? From the latest Ann Coulter column:
"As
Pat Buchanan said, homosexuality has gone from "the love that dare not speak its name" to "the love that won't shut up.""
by the way the folks at the Boston Globe must be pleased that rival scribe Howie Carr of the Herald has a book, the Brothers Bulger, that is #10 on the NY Times bestseller list and
now #1 (non-fiction) on the Globe's own list! Wonder if
Globe will review it? (if they did, I missed it)
