Thanks, Pukin that needed to be said. I, too, have been disgusted with many of the Freepers responses to all this DemocRAT drivel. The polls are only instruments of the liberal media to make you think you are in the minority. Keep feeling optimistic. The American people are not as dumb as the DemocRATS want to believe.

Pukin, You would think that after a decade or two conservatives would figure out the liberal game. We're always about to lose big right before an election. We're always on the ropes. We're always too corrupt and too stupid to do anything.

We're going to trounce their liberal butts again. I'm not in the least worried. And you can quote me on that.

A lovely rant, indeed, PD. Fine form, as usual.

Here, without comment or casting aspersions toward any FR poster, is an amusing, yet apropos, comic:

Pukin Prognostications for 2006

1. A coalition of combined NATO member forces will destroy Iran’s nuclear capability against the wishes of the U.N. Security counsel, who in private supports the action. Iran will respond by launching conventional missile attacks against Israel, convincing the U.S. Congress to sell the F-22 Raptor to the Israelis and Aussies. Iraq provides logistical assistance in the attack. Confidence = 8

Yet to be determined.

2. Congressman John Murtha is indicted on corruption charges after having failed to insulate himself from federal prosecution by becoming a darling of the anti-war Left. Murtha and other Democrats label the indictment as a payback against an outspoken critic of the war, but the Feds have an air-tight case. Confidence = 8

Yet to be determined, though not very likely to occur.

3. Justice Samuel Alito is confirmed with 62 yes-votes to the Supreme Court. Riots and Sit-ins are conducted throughout the Alito hearings, with Democrats in Congress meeting with the protesters on a nightly basis, each looking to bolster their image with the nut-bag Left. Confidence = 9+

Alito confirmed with 58 votes.

4. Congressman Tom Delay is cleared of all charges and resumes his place as Majority leader after a nasty public battle with Congressman Pence for the role. Speaker Denny Hastert; damaged after the Abramoff scandals considers retiring from public life. Democrats make Delay’s return the centerpiece of their 2006 election campaigns. Confidence = 7+

RE: DeLay - Yet to be determined
RE: Hastert - Not very likely to occur.

5. Congress retroactively rolls back the Alternative Minimum Tax, Passes the extended Patriot Act, and Passes a decent Illegal Immigration Bill with VP Dick Cheney providing the swing vote on two of the three issues. Confidence = 8+

Yet to be determined.

6. President Bush addresses the Iraqi Parliament IN PERSON in Iraq, and is seen as the individual to quell a rising desire among some for an Iraqi civil war. Bush’s approval rating reaches above 60% and remains so through the 2006 elections. Confidence = 8

Yet to be determined.

7. The Republican Senate falls one vote shy of a veto-proof majority after upset wins in Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire, and the special election in Nevada to replace Senator Harry Reid, who resigned in disgrace over the Abramoff debacle. Confidence = 7

Yet to be determined.
Reid resignation, (a/c "Abramoff debacle"), not very likely to occur.

8. The Republican Congress passes authorization for drilling in ANWR, sparking violent protests and liberal threats of violence against oil workers in Alaska who work on the project. Multiple environmental impact lawsuits are launched in a last-ditch attempt to prevent drilling from taking place. Confidence = 8+

Yet to be determined.

9. The F-22 Raptor sees combat over the skies of Iran and Syria clearing the skies for coalition aircraft protecting the Iraqi borders. The U.S.S. Ronald Reagan becomes a fixture in the Persian Gulf after Al Qaeda declares war against the Saudi Royal Family. In exchange for NATO protection, the price of crude oil falls below $30 per gallon. The U.S. Economy explodes, protecting Conservative seats in Congress and providing a few upsets as well. Confidence = 7

USS Ronald Reagan currently in Persian Gulf; Al Qaeda attack on Saudi oil facility last month.
The rest: Yet to be determined.

10. President Bush announces his agenda for his final two years in Washington will be to finally replace the current U.S. Tax code with a simpler, more private process. Flat tax and VAT are discussed, with a modified Flat tax becoming the proposed plan presented to Congress. Confidence = 7

Yet to be determined.

11. Republicans are going to PICK UP SEATS in the November elections. We are not going to lose the House, nor are we going to lose the Senate. In fact, in the Senate, we might actually gain a 60 seat majority.

Yet to be determined.

Have you heard that GWB and Laura will apparently not be voting in the March 7 Texas Republican primary. Unless there is a Republican runoff in Crawford in April -- and they vote in that runoff -- they will not technically be "Republicans" under Texas law from 2006-2007. Instead they will be unaffiliated voters if they skip both parts of the primaries.

Nice Post, Mr. Dog. I think you are right in about 90% of what you write, and I am neutral on the rest.

I remember you wrote a post back during the last election day, it was still early in the day when all the experts said that Bush was getting his ass whipped, but you said that Freepers should not worry, that Bush was going to win and you were right.

This fall, I plan to vote Republican and in the meantime, avoid the MSM. I don't need their noise.

Thanks.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me something in writing to back up what I'm trying to repeat every chance I get to my conservative friends who are getting nervous. They know I'll be truthful and I have been truthful with "my opinion" and it's all written in a nice little post here on FreeRepublic. I have been mentioning the chances for the 4 eloquent conservative black guys running for high offices in the NE and this info is so far under the radar I can't believe it. This is so encouraging to me and should be to all conservatives. Thank you again and, yes, our President will pull another rabbit out of the hat when it's needed...I just feel certain. I'm praying for another Supreme Court appointment...that will just do it!

It never fails to amaze me the degree to which even folks here are led by the nose by the Treason Media's constant attempt to help the Party of Treason. Generally the chorus of Defeatism is led by unreconstrusted anti-Bush faux conservatives left over from various Lost Causes on the fringe. But the less discerning but good of heart listens to the chorus of Whines and often believes it has some sense in it.

Quite a rant there Mr. Dog. I believe most of what you've stated, but a couple of things (60 seat Senate as an example) I will beg to disagree. All in all, very good rant. We all know how the MSM and dims have absolutely NO problem with repeated lies.

If you were one of the 6 people who watched Bob Shieffer, you can take comfort in knowing that about as many people as ingested Botulism from canned food today, but are still better off from their poison than you are from yours.

FOTFLMAO!!!!

As the keeper of the Sunday thread, I can attest to the truth of it, PDog!!!!

BTW, none of the leftist hosts had time to cover Dubyas historic trip to India... It was all about ports, Iraqi civil war, and rehashing Katrina. EXPECTED and PITIFUL.

I so look forward to November!

Enjoyed the Mega Rant!

The MSM news is just crap and deserves to be laughed at. Even if you don't have proof that anti-Bush documents are forged, assume they are. Even when you don't have proof the polls are phony, assume they are. When you hear that "it's all about oil," just laugh. We are in a civilizational war and the MSM is not on the American side. It hasn't been for a long time. They support the Anti-Americans: Sacco and Venzetti, Alger Hiss, Uncle Joe, Ho Chi Min, Mao, Fidel, etc. They seem to be pulling out all the stops now, but I can't tell that its making a difference. People are tired of hearing that "it's all Bush's fault." The sky is not falling because of Bush; it's not falling at all. People are beginning to see through the press, the Democrats, and their allies.

Democrats win ONLY when they can divide Conservatives into separate camps of angry voters.

I agree except that I would add one additional way. Dems can win if they cheat and get away with it (think Washington state here.)

The Dems have already taken careful note that Washington Staters have (sorry to say this) caved. I'm somehow hoping that there is some covert stuff going on, something on the order of FBI infiltrating unions and legal covens - that sort of thing. Yeah, wishful thinking.

Hey, there's no F-14 for sale on ebay!
