Bush Bot - a great tool to whip out when you have no argument or facts to share

Kind of like the race card, with respect to the ports deal?

Thanks for the encouragement. We have a lot of lilly-livers here. It is a long way between now and November.

Conservatives can lose while Republicans win. GWB = FDR.

I don't watch TV news and I don't read the MSM papers. I want to be happy. All that negativism is not good for my blood pressure and my spirits.

Word to the less-than-wise: hurling insults is not a way to get people interested in what you have to say.

I wish you were right, but I seriously doubt it. See, rather than just blathering about good and evil, I'm actually looking at the seats in play. I'm looking at which GOP seats are vulnerable and which Democratic seats are vulnerable and seeing a whole heck of a lot more of the former than the latter. In fact, if you are so all-fired certain that the GOP will pick up seats, I'd be more than happy to engage you in a wager. Got the balls to put your money where your mouth is? I doubt it.

You're right that we're not going to lose the Senate, and you're probably right that we're not going to lose the House, but we're probably going to lose seats in both. A 60-seat majority? You're high. See previous offer to wager; I'll give you ten-to-one odds that the GOP does not emerge from the November elections with a 60-seat majority. Exactly where do you think the Republicans have the potential to gain five seats? Which five Democratic Senate seats will flip without the GOP losing any? Give me specific states and challengers. C'mon, let's hear it.

Wishful thinking and insipid name-calling are no substitute for clear-eyed assessment of the situation and strategizing.

I couldn't agree with you more. The BS being put out by the rabid Dems is going to be their downfall, IMHO. We should all be supporting our President and the administration because WE know he is a man of his word.

I remember when Kerry was 12-14 points ahead of Bush back in late February/early March of 04. We were all running for cover. Tim Russert even suggested to Bush in that 04 interview that the election may already be over, that the Iraq War and the lack of WMD's was hurting him, that Kerry had pulled way ahead of him in the polls and that the President was so far behind he would never be able to stage a come back.

The democrats biggest mistake is they forget Bush isn't running

In the end, when that person walks into the voting booth, it is a vote between what that person knows in his heart and what he thinks in his head. They know a vote for almost any democrat is a death wish for the country in times as these

I agree, we will keep the house and keep the senate.

My only disagreement is I don't think we will get to 60 seats in the senate.

*PROPER*!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't have said it better myself!!

The BEST part is that of all the conservatives who "don't get" what you just described, there is ONE BIG ONE WHO DOES.

His name is.....DUBYA!!!

The way that he has played poker with the 'Rats around election time is something that volumes will be written about someday!!!

By (in effect) 'nationalizing' the election by making it 'all about Dubya', the 'Rats are being set up to be clobered - because when Dubya finally shows his cards and starts campaigning, the American voter goes to his side (realizing that he is the only one who can be trusted with national security and their checkbook)...

....*PRICELESS*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"ports deal"
"NSA surveillance"
"guest worker program"
(for example)...
If it weren't for the lies and spin by the liberal media in their stories and headlines, these would be non-stories.

Almost as sad as the way the liberal media lies and twists topics such as these when they print them is the ignorance of people who buy into their deception and accept their stories as fact or truthful.

The old adage is true; repeat a lie enough times and eventually people will accept as the truth. Does this make me a "Bush bot"? Yea, I guess so. Proud of it, too, if it means I am not sucked into the liberals spin. If GOP suffers this November, it will be a victory for liberals over stupid "conservatives". Not any fault of President Bush.

Yeah, we got our problems, but the Dems have no ideas and keep acting like it's 1969. And when they got up and clapped when Bush talked about how they stopped Social Security reform, I just about barfed because it's my generation that's going to have to pay for their inaction.
