"Our ongoing investigation indicates that the suspect's motive was to avenge the deaths of Muslims around the world," said Derek Parch, UNC-Chapel Hill's Director of Public Safety at a news conference Saturday afternoon. "There is every indication in this early stage of the investigation that he acted alone. There is no indication whatsoever that he acted in concert with anyone." Taheri-azar, currently at Raleigh's Central Prison under a $5.5 million bond, was charged with nine counts of attempted first-degree murder and nine counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

Last night FNC had two guests on to discuss this case. One woman thought the $5.5M bond was excessively high and used as her example some socialite who accidentally hit someone last year and was given a lower bond. She also said that the defense attorneys will use those cartoons to show that this guy was just enraged, as a way to justify his actions.
The prosecutor opposite this nincompoon said that the socialite didn't pose a flight risk and didn't intentionally set out to kill 9 people.
When I see American attorneys defend this guy using the excuses she used, I knew there was a good reason I've had the news off almost exclusively for a week now.
Keyword "OU" will get you a list of the stories on the OU bomber.

I still think he was a screwy engineering student that decided to go for the
trifecta:
1. cure his depression/confusion
2. make sure some other people were having as bad a day as he was
AND
3. collect those 72 virgins.
But that's just my opinion.
It is interesting to note that Steven Emerson (author of "Jihad In America")
had his first accidental encounter with "jihad" when he stumbled into an
Islamic convention while cooling his heels as a CNN worker over a holiday...
...in Oklahoma City.
(about 15 miles from Norman)
That jumped right out at me.
That's what a Carolina education gets you?
Remember...Islam is a religion of peace.........My ASS!
You should have heard Greg Jarret go after the editor the of Carolina newspaper. It was stunning.
I mean, as much as we dislike the things the liberal schools publish, I never thought the DTH published that cartoon to INCITE riots; Jarrett insinuated that they did it to get just this reaction!
I wonder how this would play if these guys were Limbaugh fans.
That's outrageous. As a media person, doesn't Jarrett have any respect for freedom of speech?
FNC has gone to the dogs.
What a loser!

Hey now. UNC-Chapel Hill wants to play the pro-Muslim, multi-culti card, then they get what they pay for.
As for me, I never let a wild animal (such as a wolf) into my house. It would eventually trash the place and probably try to kill me.
UNC-Chapel Hill will relive these incidents so long as they "embrace" this Islamic nonsense.
I know.
Was he the one on FNC yesterday afternoon and attacking a UNC-Chapel Hill student for publishing Mohammed cartoons?
Freedom of speech is the right of every American. Violence reference cartoons will never be accepted by the average Joe American.
A friend of mine witnessed this attack. He said there is no doubt the perp was trying to hit a person or persons and it's extremely fortunate no one was killed.
This chap should go away for a long time.

Yep, I do agree. What I wanna know tho.. why aren't the liberals going after the "killer car" he drove? Why aren't they pursuing this angle? Obviously, it wasn't an SUV.
The most discouraging thing about this attempted murder is how people are trying to figure out what else it could have been that drove, literally, this animal to kill infidels. Well, you go and feel warm and fuzzy about new excuses to come up with while they plan, or spontaneously, attack more Americans. H3ll, why don't we just forget this even happened...nobody died this time.
I read somewhere I believe that Cornel West is the brother in law of Kamala Harris, who is rumored to be a potential Supreme Court pick for Obama if he gets in again.
