I'M trying. I've been trying all week. The other day, I drove another 30 miles or so on the streets and alleys of Baghdad. I'm looking for the civil war that The New York Times declared. And I just can't find it.

Thanks. :-)
Ah. Some good news.
Thanks for posting this.
Me, too. We get
1) the "newest" news and
2) the most commentary and hard data about the "newest" news.
I haven't found this type of offering anywhere else.
Dying MSM bump
Important article PING
Keep up the good work Allegra.
Well, you won't believe it from me. Maybe you'll believe it from another source.
I believe you, Leggy. I also worry about you, so PLEASE take care!
great great post. thank you
bttt for later
I spent a big chunk of my life with MSM people. A lot of the abuse you see stems from their belief that their audience is dumb, uneducated, uninterested, and has a short attention span. These beliefs do not motivate a high standard.
GREAT to see you here. Stop by more often, OK?
I spend a lot of time here refuting media lies. And some on here insist on believing CNN and telling me I don't know what I'm talking about.
They amuse me. LOL
"This bombing was the test, and Iraq passes. It's only a matter of time now, America has succeeded."
There is a certain critical point where Iraqis will just get fed up to their eyeballs with the murderous Zarqawi gang and start turning them in en masse. I think we are pretty close to that tipping point.
Support Craigslist. It is singlehandedly destroying the print media in big cities like NYC.
They're pretty much there.
Sadr has to be taken out. HAS to be. And they know it, FINALLY.
Now they're questioning their choice for Prime Minister (Jaafari) because of his ties to Sadr. Very encouraging that they're doing this.
It's a brand new democracy and they're experiencing growing pains after years of darkness. But, despite what they media says, they're getting it.
I've been saying it for two years and I'll say it again.
Iraq's going to work. We just have to be patient and let them work through it.
BUMP
Did I miss something? Why do you say they know it, finally?
Now the government is addressing the problems caused by al-Sadr and his Mahdi militia. They've publicly announced a clampdown on the militias and are expressing concerns about Jaafari's ties to al- Sadr. Right out in the open.
They have FINALLY realized that he needs to be dealt with, margainalized or removed as one of the steps to achieve peace.
I did hear where they said that people with guns in the street would be arrested. But I have not heard anything since then. Are people actually being arrested if they walk around (or drive around) with guns?
