By "a free ride from black people," what he actually means is that, in Lee's opinion, Condoleezza Rice hasn't been sufficiently criticized, ostracized and otherwise crucified by her fellow African Americans for displaying the intelligence and initiative to achieve spectacular things in career, instead of spending all of her time blaming whitey for failure to achieve.

Well old Spike has been getting a free ride in Hollywood for years and much like his fellow Black Democrats he is finding himself overshadowed in the new media.

As far as too many liberals are concerned, blacks who reject liberalism deserve to be smeared as Sambos and worse."

It's hard to understand why a person would be hateful to another of their own race or any other race for being successful.

This is a serious problem. There is nothing worse than holding yourself and others back to maintain your own personal power. It is truly evil.
