March 4, 2006 -- Has there ever been a slicker political double-play combination than Bill and Hillary Clinton? Consider how the former president, and the desperately-wants-to-be president, seek to have it both ways in the controversy over the Dubai ports deal.
Sen. Hillary - joined by her New York colleague, Chuck Schumer, and New Jersey's Bob Menendez - has emerged as a leading voice in opposition to the deal, saying, "Our port security is too important to place in the hands of foreign governments."

We scan 100% of the containers coming into the US for traditional all ready. The information has been posted repeatedly. We ONLY NEED to physically inspect about 6% because of security concerns. The Terminal Operator controls NOTHING about the shipment. The Manifest are controlled BY THE SHIPPER as well as the RECIEVER and must go thru Customs. The level of RABID ignorance here is simply inexcusable.
The United States is giving NOTHING away. Grow up and actually confront the facts. Two weeks into this story it is utterly inexcusable for anyone to be this rabidly ignorant. A PRIVATE Company, P&O is selling it Port Terminal Operations. A Company Called Dubai Port World is BUYING that Private Company. Part of what they are acquiring is 9 terminal leases, out of 300, in 6 US Ports. 9 out of 300 GET IT? The US Govt is giving NOTHING away. The same American Dock Workers, the Same American Clerks, Truck Drivers, Gate Guards, Office Workers, Cleaning Crews etc etc etc who NOW work of P&O will switch to getting their checks from Dubai Port World. The name on the outside of the building will change and that is about ALL that will change. No Port Security, Sensitive Cargo Shipments or any of the other utterly stupid nonsense being spewed by the Hysterics is going to drowned out the FACTS.
That is the FACTS, not White House Spin, RNC Talking Points and all the other stupid nonsense being screamed to drown out the FACTS. Time for people to pull their heads out and LEARN the facts.
How can people capable of using a computer be so utterly IGNORANT of the facts of this matter after 2 weeks? There must be a genetic element. Some Invincibly Stupid Shield gene that keeps people from bothering to learn even ONE fact about this topic. The display of panic, hysteric, bigotry and ignorance on the part of some of the Port Deal Hysterics is inexcusable.
Every time I read about Bill and Hillary, I feel the need to take a shower.

When we deal with two of the most corrupt persons that ever sat in the White House for 8 years and literally did nothing except lie, cheat, steal and whatever, what did we expect. The Democratic party is the real party of corruption.
If they knew that, they'd probably both try to crawl in with you!

Actually, Bill's been a big fan of Dubai for some time now.
It goes back to when that government - which actually owns Dubai Ports World - kicked in very big bucks indeed to his presidential library.
Since 2002, it's been paying him for speeches there - at $300,000 a pop.
Talk about having your cake and eating it, too: Despite his support for the company, the former prez says his wife and other critics have a legitimate beef.
The legitimate beef here is that if a Republican ever tried this, the MSM and the left would hound that person out of office and the country. Bill and Hillary Clinton simply beggar description............(add your favorite here..............................................................................................................................)
