Can you imagine what the real numbers are when you remove illegal immigration?

Given all the Cal. license plates I see everyday, it looks like they are all coming here to Texas.
To: SmithL
I swear they are all coming to Texas. Everyone is coming to Texas. Suburbs of Dallas especially. A majority in my neighborhood of Frisco are New Yorkers or Californians. THey are shocked that we pledge to the Texas Flag. They are also shocked we have malls and grocery stores, ha.
To: SmithL
This doesn't mean the population of California is actually decreasing. Illegal immigration aside, people do have babies.
However, there is a huge disincentive for residents of other states to move to California, and a huge incentive for Californians to leave.
A Californian who owns a crappy house can sell it, move to another state, and buy a mansion with the cash, and have money left over.

For the first time since 1998, the people who relocated from California to other states outnumbered those who migrated in from other states...
Does that include the state of Sonora?

My only question is: why is this a surprise?
Cigarette tax.
Real estate taxes.
Political correctness rampant.
Uncontrolled spending
Anyone who can will leave the state as soon as they can. Including me, after a lifetime here...

I left in 1981 and I'm never going back to live there again. When I visited a few years back my $500/month efficiency apartment on the beach is now a $250K Condo!
My uncle finally wised up and left after 15 years. Sold his $150K home for $600K and moved to NM. He's loving life.
Sunny Weather = Quality of life? Not to me. ;)

As long as it's just the conservatives who are moving out, that's good.
I'm thinking that we need a fence, though, to make sure that the liberals don't leave. We need better border security than what we've got.

I left shortly after the Rodney-King Riots.
I just turned down a job there.

This RAT pack of a state has lost big time. Add Hollywierd to the mix, who would want to live in a State that is so corrupt. I'd leave in a flash but both daughters live within 7 miles of me and they have problems, health and jobs. This state sucks.

The liberal Commies screwed up San Francisco.
So now they are moving to Red States to find sanity of politics and decent living conditions.

Must have something to do with home prices being too high. Real estate speculators drive up prices, and people move away in search of greener pastures.

Yep, I left California after 26 years of living there. Could not get away fast enough. Moved to Montana, but still work in Washington. So, surrounded by liberals where I work, and surrounded by God where I live. So all you California folks, move to Texas, and leave Montana alone.
