Just how stoned was David Gregory yesterday on Imus? Will this story have never happened by sometime tomorrow? Will the old media be successful in covering for him?
Or, will David get handed a cup when he comes home?

We don't know if Gregory was drunk or stoned, it's all speculation at this point. I understand from posts on these "Gregory called Imus drunk" threads that Imus often receives calls from folks pretending to be drunk. It's apparently a running gag.
Personally, I'd like to see efforts concentrated on Gregory's actual reporting. We need to dissect and scrutinize them for accuracy and display his lies for all to see. That's where we can make a difference.
I really don't relish being on the opposite side of so many of my fellow Freepers but....
...this topic regarding Gregory is much ado about nothing. So what if he had a couple of martinis or whatever the heck they serve in India in the way of spirits. Maybe he smoked some hash? SO WHAT?

There is absolutely no proof he was drunk or stoned and to see this tired vanity thread on yesterday's news reach over 100 posts in such a short time has a lot more to say about us.

You're chasing a ghost --- not chasing a thing. I know someone who is stoned when they are stoned. And, as I said before, I don't care if he was. I just want him to be a decent and professional reporter when he is asking questions of the President, McClellan and others.

It is quite clear to anybody who has used either hash or grass that David Gregory was definitely high (probably for the first time) on some excellent hashish. Other FReepers who have, ahem....previous knowledge, of these drugs have also suggested hashish. I agree....

Mentioning right away that I don't like to resort to analogies or comparisons for edification, here goes:
I, as a 59 year old male, don't go around telling anyone about the experience of carrying a baby inside of me or of birthing. Why? Because I never did carry a baby inside of me.
Similarly, I don't learn anything or hold in any meaningful regard the opinion about the possible use of marijuana by Gregory from a person who says they never used marijuana.
Is that clear? Really, I'm not trying to be a wise guy here, I just ask if that is clear to you.
