Preliminary investigation blames Iran for the attack on the Shiite Shrine in Samarra.

• Iran Focus reported that the deputy governor of the Iraqi province of Saladin, where the holy city of Samarra is situated, said preliminary investigation was pointing to Iran’s role in the bombing of the city’s revered Shiite shrine last week.

 

Iran Tests Missile with 4000 Kilometer range.

• Middle East Newsline reported that Iran launched a Shihab-4 missile, designed to have a range of 4,000 kilometers. Watch out Europe.

 

Shocking! Iran/Moscow talks fail, again.

• Reuters reported that Russian and Iranian negotiators met in Moscow on to reach a compromise on the Russian nuclear proposal.
• Dow Jones Newswires reported that Russia and Iran have failed to achieve any breakthrough in their talks.

 

Reza Pahlavi steps up efforts to support an internal regime change in Iran.

• Reza Pahlavi's Secretariat, PR Newswire Association reported that Reza Pahlavi, at the National Press Club, challenged the ongoing debate between proponents of military action versus diplomacy, instead appealing to the "free world to support the thousand circles of localized dissent and opposition that readily exists in Iran."
• United Press International added that Reza Pahlavi argued in his NPC speech that "[Western diplomats] are operating under the false assumption that the other side wants a solution."

• Yahoo News reported that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said he had advised the United States against attacking Iran.

I called it a week ago.

The fingerprints were obvious.

Just like the two bomb attacks in southern Iran (blamed on British influence).

The Iranians are playing the world media card. But we'll beat them at it.

Here is some earlier evidence I published:

• John Batchelor, The American Spectator Blog reported that the best signals source points to the Samarra mosque bombing in Iraq as the launch operation of the Iranian counteroffensive.
• Kamangir (Archer) argued that there are similarities between the attack on Samarra and an earlier attack on a holy site in Iran where one of the regime's intelligence officers confessed to attack but was seeking to blame that attack on opponents of the regime.
• Iran Focus reported that many Sunni groups believe that Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security may have been behind the bombing.
• Iran Press News reported that the Islamic regimes radio, IRIB, in an analysis, attested to planting bombs in holy Shiite areas in Iraq to create chaos and crisis.

Yep. All very good.

Also, with signs that al-Zarqawi has fled to Iran, I think we can expect more attacks to create division among the Shia-Sunni world (which benefits both al-Qaeda and the current Iranian leadership).

I'm just hoping that Iran is stupid enough to try to close the Straight of Hormuz.

That would solve all our problems in a heartbeat.

When will Iran be free? A free Iran is good for the Middle East and the world. The Iranian mullahs are behind the insurgency in Iraq besides Al-Qaida and Baathists (Nazis). I know Saddam Hussein invaded Iran to seize land from them and show the Arab world that they can dominate over Iran.
