In the hectic, confused hours after Hurricane Katrina lashed the Gulf Coast, Louisiana's governor hesitantly but mistakenly assured the Bush administration that New Orleans' protective levees were intact, according to new video obtained by The Associated Press showing briefings that day with federal officials.
"We keep getting reports in some places that maybe water is coming over the levees," Gov. Kathleen Blanco said shortly after noon on Aug. 29, according to the video. "We heard a report unconfirmed, I think, we have not breached the levee. I think we have not breached the levee at this time."

And the shooter may very well have saved the country.
And lest we allow the world to forget - Bush and the administration told Blanco and Nagin to evacuate days before those two idiots finally made a move - and by then it was too late.
"Once again this article neglects to say that the word used by the head of the Hurricane Service was "topped", not "breached." Yahoo news hates Bush along with the MSM. People who make their living with words should (and probably do) know the difference."
Say it again, dame ; )
Reno and Castro were discussing cigars.
Under the table.
That bitch Blanco lied to the President.
The sooner Nagin and Blanco are thrown into the streets, the better!!!
"The failure was the perfect storm of what you get with 100% Democrat run government and mother nature."
RNC should use that quote.
Late local news just did the same thing.
And don't anyone dare forget that Nagin had to steal equipment to be able to communicate.
The dumbass.
Bush used a mind ray to make her think everything was OK while Cheney was working the Halliburton global warming generator (funded by the UAE) to kill the people of N.O. to take attention off the failures in Iraq.
I have no idea what the point is of these videos anyway. The canal flood walls broke. The city flooded. It was a big disaster. Governments were not able to deal with this huge unprecented disaster. Anyone who has lived in N.O. or knew anything about N.O. knew that the big one could come eventually.
If Clinton had been President during this he would have come out looking like a hero for caring so much. What he did or didn't do would be irrevelant.
I googled:

Results 1 - 10 of about 12,200,000 for bush blamed. (0.33 seconds)
i am so sick of this story. the people of new orleans were the first ones responsible. every person in the end has the responsibility to fend for their own safety. secondly, they had city and parrish governing officials that specialize in disasters who were not prepared in the slightest to do anything about a major evacuation. then, of course, the governor has the legal ability to order an evacuation. that NEVER happened. and lastly, you have the federal government. they should be prepared to provide logistical and technical and if necessary monetary assistance. they did that. and yet, somehow, it's the feds, and primarily bush and brown, that are to blame for the whole thing. this is just stupid.
Video Wars between incompetent government bureaucrats? Madison must be rolling in his grave.
This will be too late to sway the sheeple. All of them now "know" Bush was warned and "did nothing to help the victims because he's lazy, stupid and a liar." Besides, he hates everyone who didn't vote for him.
All the local Houston media is interviewing the poor N.O. black folk who are still here in motels and they're being told Bush knew. They are hot. The dye is cast. *sigh*
The video I would like to see is the one where the MSM is reporting that "all is well" in New Orleans right after the hurricane past by.
True, I think. States other than LA are trying to rebuild their economic base first. That's what gives them the money to help individuals.
Individual homes aren't as important as jobs. No one has ever been better off on welfare than when employed.
LOL! You see its worst than I thought...
Did anyone see Mitch Landrieu's pic, registering for the NO mayoral election with his Wednesday ashes on his forehead?
