YELLOW RIBBON 2 in New Jersey
Around the world, March 19th has come to mean several things. For the members of the Coalition of the Willing, it is a date in which the free world finally to their credit enforced 17 ignored U.N. resolutions and over a decade of Status Quo diplomacy to topple Saddam Hussein and his murderous regime. For the Iraqi people, it is a date for celebrating and embracing the very freedom they were so long denied and so rightly deserved. After three successful elections, a growing economy, and a yearning for self determination the mission in Iraq should praised for its noble endeavor, not scorned.
Yet for the foreign terrorists, former regime loyalists and their allies within the anti-war movement, March 19th has become not a day for celebration or quiet reflection but a day they will show their utter disgust. Instead of embracing freedom they choose to attack it. Instead of partaking in Democracy, they prefer to fight it. Instead of supporting self-determination they side with despots and tyrants. To aid in this effort, during March 18 20 of 2006 the Anti-War movement plans on having yet another weekend of coordinated events to try and erode the commitment and resolve of America and its allies in Iraq, Afghanistan and the greater Global War on Terror. Billed as an expression of protected free speech the reality is that what the protesters plan on doing is anything but that. And while respectful dissent is a guaranteed right in America, a right in which we would fight and defend to protect, disrespectful dissent and more to the point outright collaboration against our nations enemies as it has been proven of these anti-U.S. groups, is not nor should it ever be .
Just as it is important for our troops to bravely face down terrorists and rouge regimes in the field, it is no less important that we on the home front face down those who would spit on the very freedoms we have come to cherish and expect as Americans. It is high time that we show the allies of freedoms enemies that they will no longer be able to protest unopposed! On Saturday March 18th, 2006, Protest Warriors Coastal New Jersey Chapter will make their stand across from the entrance of Fort Monmouth in an effort to confront the allies of evil who hide under the cloak of Peace-Protesters. Join with us to send a strong message to our military that we truly support them and their mission. Join with us for OPERATION: YELLOW RIBBON 2.
Where:
Corner of Tinton Avenue & Main Street (Route 35)
Eatontown, New Jersey
When:
Saturday March 18, 2006
11:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Description:
The protesters will more than likely take up positions in front of the Base entrance along the sidewalk to maximize their effect on Base personnel and passersby. Protest Warriors will assemble directly across from them at the Exxon gas station. We will line up along the sidewalk in clear view of both the protesters and passersby.
Could you fix the title please? Operation Yellow RIBBON 2
If you are talking about the "anti-war" hippies...the title is appropriate.
ping. ping. ping.
concretebob you do excellent work. I would love to join you guys - I'm in central Jersey and am not that familiar with the area. Is parking available nearby?
Cheers - Dinah
Thank you sir. You are a great American.
Hello Dinah,
You can park at the Exxon gas station. If for some reason it gets full there is also another gas station across the street and if even more parking is needed there is a small park with parking a block away. Usually plenty of parking.
One more thing I forgot to mention is we are at this location every Saturday at noon opposing the anti-America protestors at the Fort. So everyone please join us at any time out there.
Excellent NJProtestWarrior
Thanks for the info.
I am definitely going to try and get there.
Cheers - Dinah
Well Bob, looks like I owe you a bottle of Canadian Mist for doing me the favor of posting my Operation here....I hope the two Operation Yellow Ribbon's you have planned by you are successful....
Regardless of how successful Yellow Ribbon 2 is this time around, afterwards I plan on pushing this as a annual PW event on the national scene.
Best of luck Jersey PW & FReepers!
Hope you have a good turnout.
Less than 20 hours till Yellow Ribbon 2 kickoff...On my signal, unleash migrain headaches on the left........go
Get off at Exit 105. Brings you to a light. Cross and then IMMEDIATELY take the "jug handle" on your right. It's how you make a left turn in Jersey.
Take that about 1-2 miles. You'll see a golf course on your right and a military housing area on the left, when the golf course ends at the traffic light, make a right on Tinton Ave. Follow Tinton about a mile and the next traffic light is your destination. Turn left just before the light so you can park in the Exxon.
