March 1, 2006 -- THE reporting out of Baghdad continues to be hysterical and dishonest. There is no civil war in the streets. None. Period.
Terrorism, yes. Civil war, no. Clear enough?
Yesterday, I crisscrossed Baghdad, visiting communities on both banks of the Tigris and logging at least 25 miles on the streets. With the weekend curfew lifted, I saw traffic jams, booming business and everyday life in abundance.

The Dems and the MSM are the greatest allies these terrorists have.
"life in abundance" --- Oh good, I thought you said, "life in an ambulance".!
Whew!!!!
The terrorists are at the NY TIMES.
...a great article, one the ancient MSM will not want quoted anywhere.
Well, you can't say the media/Democrat Party hasn't done their best to attempt to incite one.
Here is another article on the subject by Victor Davis Hanson:

If you are a talk show caller... these two articles will give you lots of ammo.
"THE bombing and bloodshed that pushed Iraq to the brink of civil war....." The start of the AP story two articles ahead of this one on FreeRepublic.
Of course the formerly main stream media screams the bad news, they want us to lose, hence, the name: Defeatist media.
Al Jazeera cant do a better job of spreading lies than the American media.
The MSM is lying about everything. I just wonder how much longer they can get away with it.
...followed by a camera operator appearing on the screen in T-shirt & Levi's saying...
Film at 11...
They have got away with it for 65 years that I have experienced.
Yesterday the Prez basically said it was time for the Iraqis to fish or cut bait. This article makes it sound like they are trying hard and succeeding (so far) to avoid civil war. The MSM basically wants us to believe that the city of Bagdad is already divided with Sunnis on one side and Shites on the other.
Pulling Iraq back from the edge of civil war
US terms potential civil war in Iraq "serious setback"
Bush denies Iraq heading toward civil war
Iraq edges closer to civil war
So it MUST be true!!
"Oh no, its civil war, I read in/heard it on the news/in the newspaper"
Lol
Nice article, but it misses what is going on with the MSM. I think we have seen much higher levels of violence in Iraq than we are seeing now. But, but, but the MSM has assured us that civil war is inevitable. Unable to wait any longer for civil war to break out, the MSM has just done what they do with everything, they dumb down the definition of civil war. Now, any level of violence supports the MSM's story line, namely, civil war. No more waiting, no more predicting, its happening because the MSM now feels that if somebody is lighting their farts in a public square, its "sectarian violence."
They dumbed down the definition of torture to include handcuffing an enemy combatant or making them feel "uncomfortable" whatever that means. They dumbed down electronic surveillance to mean "domestic spying" and only that even though it has nothing to do with domestic spying and is centered on gathering intelligence from foreign sources.
In short, the MSM and left dumbs down everything such that anything done by Republicans is illegal or unethical. That which was legal yesterday is suddenly illegal today.
And by working together they learn to live with and tolerate each other. Some call this Peace.
The question is: are the Iraqis up to the task.
Good question... personally I am not sure they are. I certainly wouldn't stake my money on their abilities to pull it off. But they have a chance. Like I said on a local radio talk show yesterday: They, Iraqis specifically and Middle East Muslims in general now have a chance to show us what they got. If it fails... not our fault.
The libs in this country shed a tear with this news.
