Now there's a surprise for ya. The Anti-Christian Lawsuit Union is offended by the existence of anything even remotely Christian. It's a wonder they haven't tried to run off the Amish yet.

Shhhhhh don't tell the geniuses at the ACLU what the real names of some of the towns in the southwest stand for. Here are the translations in English:
San Francisco, California - Saint Francis, California
Los Angeles, California - City of the Angels, California
San Jose, California - Saint Joseph, California
San Antonio, Texas - Saint Anthony, Texas
Santa Cruz, California - Holy Cross, California
Sacramento, California - Holy Sacrament, California
Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

I wonder if the ACLU has issues with the Amish towns in the Pennsylvania area. I think not.

You forgot Corpus Cristi (in Texas), which means "The Body of Christ."
And LA's full name is El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles sobre el Río Porciuncula, which means "The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels on the River Porciuncula."

Incidently, as a NYer, I have no problem with the numerous Orthodox Jewish towns in Rockland County. I say this without getting into the fact that they voted 99% for Hillary Clinton after her husband pardoned their leaders who were being indicted for scamming federal education funds.

"Incidently, as a NYer, I have no problem with the numerous Orthodox Jewish towns in Rockland County. I say this without getting into the fact that they voted 99% for Hillary Clinton after her husband pardoned their leaders who were being indicted for scamming federal education funds."
That was just that one town in that one election, after the Clintons bought their support by pardoning some members of the community that had established a phony yeshiva to steal public funding. The Orthodox voters in Rockland are overwhelmingly Republican, and they came out in full force for President Bush in 2004, which was one of the main reasons why President Bush's vote percentage in Rockland County increased from 39.52% in 2000 to 49.63% in 2004.
I would be willing to wager that the Orthodox town in Rockland County that voted heavily for Gore and Hillary in 2000 was located in Ramapo Township, in which Bush improved his performance from 33.08% in 2000 to 50.31% in 2004. In fact, I looked for the precincts in Ramapo that voted the most heavily for Gore, and precincts 55 and 58 held Bush to just 1.87% and 1.68%, respectively, in 2000. In 2004, Bush got a whopping 98.74% in precinct 55 and 99.12% in precinct 58. I don't believe I need to do any further digging to come to the conclusion that (i) those two precincts were the ones that covered the Orthodox town in which the Clintons bought nearly unanimous support in 2000 in return for presidential pardons, and (ii) no other precinct in America saw President Bush increase his vote percentage by 97% from 2000 to 2004.

Again, I don't really care how these religious towns vote in state or national elections. I absolutely support their right to exist wether they are Republican, Democrat, Communist, Catholic, Jewish, Amish, or Branch Davidian. What I have a problem with is the ACLU's double standard.

If the ACLU has a problem with this, then they should have a problem with every housing group that has homeowner's associations with strict bylaws.
NOBODY will be forced to live in Ave Maria, Florida. It will be voluntary...it will be for those who wish to live with like-minded individuals.
