Cindy Sheehan, self-described mother to the world and anti-American activist, has had a pang of PR-conscience and rejected plans for a protest in her honor at an American military hospital in Landsthul, Germany when she travels to Europe next month.
Obviously well aware of the black eye the antiwar movement recieved by protesting outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., Sheehan has urged protesters to not target soldiers with their demonstrations.
Sheehan wrote in her latest missive on leftists blogs:
"In the frenzy and excitement of my trip to France and Germany, some well meaning pacifists in the area have scheduled me to set up a Camp Casey outside of Landsthul, Germany, in front of the military hospital. I won't agree to do that."
She further said, "The Camp Casey in Germany could be moved to a place where people with decision making power can see it. The soldiers have very little to say in their fates after they enlist (which is an entirely different subject) but especially the ones who have already been wounded in the service of their country no matter how evil and greed-serving the phony mission is."
Sheehan concluded her plea to not protest soldiers by saying, "Let's leave our soldiers out of our protests. They have been put through so much by their commander in chief and his callous cronies already."
Sheehan urges her supporters to set up Camp Casey's in front of Karl Rove's home in D.C. and recruiting centers, and at more traditional and non-controversial locations such as Congressional offices, the White House and embassies.
Sheehan fails to make the connection that soldiers who work at recruiting centers would be the targets of such protests, but then again we don't expect much in the way of common sense from her.
Link Sheehan's latest missive.
Things have changed. People realized Code Pink protesting a hospital is dispicable.
Now that Cindy has condemed protesting at military hosipitals, will Code Pink call off their vile blood dance?
Cold or not, it's the flatass truth.
So, is this the opening Code Pink needs to leave Walter Reed? You know they must be just aching for an excuse since the FReepers and Protest Warriors took all four corners.
I'm betting no.
I have to wonder if Shee-bat actually had the pang of conscience....or if her SOROS-RAT masters put the kabosh on the Landstuhl gig.

Another ping for folks on the DC Chapter ping list...
A BTT. That link is devastating.
Yeah. Dachau.
extremely unlikely that conscience had anything to do with it.
Thanks for the ping.
She hasn't forgotten the spanking she got from the DC Chapter when she showed up at Walter Reed on September 21 and was ashamed to show her face. She skulked behind the Code Pink lines and drove away rapidly after seeing so many of us across the street, yelling her name and "go away."
I can't bear to think of her at all.
PING THANKS!!
And here I thought Momma Moonbat just might have a small shred of common decency left in her. I should have known even calling off this protest was a PR stunt for her.
Cindy does not call the tune. She has turned herself over to the medea/media machine to continue her 15 minutes. I bet higher-ups in Germany have been given the word that Mother Sheehan would NOT like the welcome she and her gang would get in front of that hospital.
This letter is a face-saving phonybaloney excuse not to put her campaign in a spot to get really Bad publicity.
That link doesn't work for me.
Can you give us a hint what it said?

Is it this article "The Cindy Circus"
Isn't going overseas and bad-mouthing the President what ended the Dixie Chicks rise to fame? Wouldn't it be great if the same happened to Cindy? One can only hope!
Yes, that is it.
Sorry about the link. It worked in preview...but I messed up somehow.
Thanks.
