WOW, sounds bad. It's not near TX Tech is it?

That location is in the Southeast part of the city and is several miles from the TTU campus. The fire department is worried that there may be more explosions and that this could spark grass fires.

Texas Tech is safely on the north end of town. Lubbock is build like a grid. East/ West Roads are named numerically with Tech boardering on 4th; 82nd is way south. The North / South streets are alphabetically named by letter, then city, then colleges. It is easy to find almost any address in town.

Easy to build a town on 90 degree streets when you are building on a flat cotton field. No lakes, rivers or hills to build around!
