Do you have any links to that team debate where Buckley handed him his head? I can recall nothing about it except WFB's eyes when Weaver realized he'd been "played."

I use to watch that movie with my dad when I was a kid. It is like Jaws you never get tired of watching it.

Very weird. I just thought about him yesterday when I saw the show Columbo was on.

Still the scariest thing I've seen on
tv.
The deaths of these three have bothered me more than other celebrity deaths. Probably because I was a fan of all three men.

Don Knots, Darrin McGavin, and now Dennis Weaver. So now they go in D's instead of 3's?
To: MikeA
I can't say I agree with your post, MikeA.
To: DCPatriot
I thought he was great in "McCloud".

Yeah, that part where his car starts overheating going up that hill and the gauge climbs and climbs as the steam begins to pour out of the hood and he is manic as the car falters seeming almost to be going backward until the finally the gauge pegs the needle, the steam stops and the engine begins to rattle like a tin can full of marbles... only thing is, in reality when the steam pops off the cooling system pressure and the coolant escapes as steam, the gauge will actually drop like a rock as it no longer is surrounded by liquid coolant and cannot sense the true temperature; at that point, the engine is history, once shut down it will never restart until repaired or replaced.

All the decent people have either died or are dying as we speak, I guess.

It's funny you mention that. My dad didn't do too many things with me, something I'm going to change with my kids, but that movie was a favorite of ours.

A simple movie and it is remembered well! My husband and daughter love to watch American Idol and I can hear them having a good time doing it. She will always remember that I'm sure. She will probably remember me as "always yelling"!
