It's one of those things you never think of until it's too late.
I'm sure he was backstage wish he had something in his contract stating he would not go on stage if there was one or more clowns in the first 15 rows.

A few years back I had tickets to Saturday Night Live and was so disappointed that Ricky was the musical guest. Much to my surprise he was really entertaining, very charismatic. I wouldn't buy his music, but I'll give him his due as an entertainer.

It's nice you found out who they were, since NBC couldn't be bothered to tell us!

Why not? Latin rhythm is fun, and a blast to dance to. I'm betting the athletes are enjoying dancing to Ricky Martin better than watching weird clowns and meaningless brides wander around.
To: small voice in the wilderness
I don't think the brides were given an exit strategy. Looks like an Olympic quagmire on that stage.LOL! ;-D

FWIW ...
Expect a Fellini-esque close to the Torino Games
Updated Sat. Feb. 25 2006 11:39 PM ET
Associated Press
TURIN, Italy For the Olympic grand finale, think Fellini. Picture 35,000 spectators sporting 35,000 red clown noses. Imagine original costumes from the Italian director's film The Clowns. Envision Italy's prime minister behind a mask representing angels and devils.
And, as a final surreal homage to the genius behind La Dolce Vita, throw in the singer behind La Vida Loca, Ricky Martin.
