Randy Thomas, a former homosexual washed clean by the blood of Christ (!), reports that one of Exodus International’s billboards was defaced in St. Louis, Missouri. Randy is headed that way to attend a conference on Sunday called, Love Won Out.
Pray for Randy and others attending the conference, especially those still in the lifestyle and seeking answers. “Ex-gay” folks are getting lots of threats.

IOW, we ARE your desires. If a desire flits through the mind, we MUST do it.
IOW, we are nothing more than rutting animals. After all, life is just a bunch of chemicals stuck together by random chance and has no meaning, other than electrical impulses. If the impulses say "do it" then we have to do it.

I can't remember the guy's name, but several years ago we had a guest speaker at my church who was ex-homosexual. It was fascinating (in a repugnant kinda way) to hear a firsthand and entirely credible account of how he had been recruited into that life, convinced he was a homosexual even though he obviously was not. Thank God (literally) he too found Christ and escaped. It was a heck of a testimony.

Another point about feelings or desires is that everyone has all kinds of feelings, thoughts and desires passing through the mind. What our job as humans is to discriminate between which desires to enact, and which to reject. And the funny thing is, the more we reject a desire, it loses its strength, and gradually diminishes. Even goes away. THe more we indulge, it grows in strenth, and makes more demands.
No one could possibly follow every desire that pops up. And we're meant not to.

If you read what I posted and thought that I was trying to "compare Christianity to homosexuality" then you are a fool. No sane person would ever draw that conclusion.

I am replying the the one (1) comment above, in which you compared ex-Christians to ex-homosexuals, that the would both trash their respective former beliefs (in the case of homosexuals, actions too).
If that was not your meaning, you didn't explain yourself clearly. Go ahead. You're pretty quick to toss the word "fool" around, but I haven't had the pleasure to read other comments of yours to get an understanding of your world view. Just responding to the one comment above, which was clear enough.

Apples to oranges.
Christians never claim that Christianity is a natural state and you are just born a Christian. In fact, Christian groups constantly warn of falling away from Christ and the need to ministry to others to bring them to Christ.
Homosexuals claim homosexuals are born that way and cannot change.
A Christian who changes does not show a falsehood about Christianity, rather it reaffirms the fact that we are weak and need Christ to stay true to the faith and God.
However, if "cured" homosexuals should appear, then the "just born that way" and "can't change" arguments are shattered and the protective class they seek is unattainable.
Homosexuals will lose if they "lose" homosexuals. Christianity does not rely on numbers. "Many are called, few are chosen and such.

Bingo! As humans we are expected to conduct ourselves as members of society. I believe the term what what you are describing is "Impulse control" If we have an impulse to murder, on the spur of the moment, we are expected to suppress it, using reason, logic, and conscience. And rightly so, be it murder, robbery, adultery, and yes Homosexuality. Among other things.
It what differentiates us from animals, the conscience of humanity.
