Never saw Matlock - darn.
Also like the one where Barney invites all the single women over to Thelma Lous so Andy can pick one.
The one also where Barney finds out Miss Crumpet don't cook and he chases her out of the house after their foursome dinner party.
Thank so much.
Nip it...Nip it in the bud...
God bless you, Mr. Knotts, and thanks for the laughter!
I believe that "No Time" started the collaboration between Mr G and Mr K.

That was a great show.
One more of the greats gone ;(

Another oldtimer who got his laughs by poking gentle fun at himself instead of savagely attacking others - Leno, Letterman, Stewart, Franken and the rest should be so decent......
The black and white Andy Griffith shows with Barney were the best. All of the actors were very good. Little Opie was so darn cute and such a believeable actor.
Dittos on that.
Otis, Floyd, Gomer, Andy, Opie, and Deputy Fife live on forever. Mayberry has a place in everyone's heart.
"Its nothing but mortar, stone and wood."
"caro, caro, solomon"
"Let me clarify that, have a good day"
Luther Haigs was the man.
You will be missed.
That's so funny. I remember that scene now that you mentioned it. So many of those early shows of Andy Griffith were just classics. I laughed, of course, but there were many a time that I got really choked up as well.
A sad ping.
Attaboy,, Luther!
I'm sure they'll be doing a tribute/marathon of some sort soon.
I shall consider myself one-upped ... at least until I get a chance to plug in "Ghost and Mr. Chicken" this very weekend!
Sigh.
I base my parenting on a bit of his advice: Paraphrased: "You have to nip it in the bud."
Thanks for the continuing belly laughs.
Rest in Peace Mr. Knotts. Thank you for the many years of entertainment. :) You'll be missed.
