Winning the long war: Henry Lamb calls on Muslims to defang Islamic fanatics
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | Saturday, February 25, 2006 | Henry Lamb

Posted on 02/25/2006 1:29:14 AM PST by JohnHuang2

The United States has never been in a war like the current war against terrorism. In previous wars, the enemy could be clearly defined, measured and defeated. In the current war, the enemy has not yet been clearly defined or measured. Whether the enemy will be defeated is an open question.

The enemy is much more than the people who blow themselves up to kill infidels. The enemy is the reason these people are willing to blow themselves up. The non-Muslim world cannot comprehend any justification for this self-destructive behavior; the Muslim world delights in the opportunity for martyrdom. The enemy is not yet defined.

There is substantial disagreement as to whether we are fighting a small segment of Islamic fanatics, or if "kill the infidel" is a basic tenet of Islam. It is clear that the people who blow themselves up arise from Islam, but there is no accurate measurement of how many soldiers the enemy has.

The Pentagon has produced a report that says if only 1 percent of the Muslim world is attracted to al-Qaida, there could be as many as 12 million terrorist soldiers ready to blow themselves up, to kill the infidel. Iran has announced that it is conducting classes to teach terrorists how to make and use suicide bombs most effectively.

These people cannot be targeted like the enemy in previous wars. They wear no uniforms. They are not assembled in a single nation. They look like ordinary citizens, and they are scattered across the globe, ready and willing to strike any infidel target.

And they just keep coming; and they will keep coming. The enemy is not clearly defined, nor is it measured. But the enemy is measurable and the measure is frightening.

What is clear is that the enemy arises from the Muslim world, and the Muslim world is growing, while the non-Muslim world is shrinking.

For more than a generation, the Western world has been reducing fertility rates. A fertility rate of 2.1 is seen to be the rate required to maintain a stable population. The fertility rate in the U.S. is 2.06. It is even less in Europe and Canada. Compare these fertility rates to those of Muslim nations. Muslims are breeding like rabbits, while non-Muslims are actually declining in population. In a long war, the sheer numbers of Muslims will overwhelm the infidels.

In view of this reality, it is imperative that Americans realize that this enemy must be defeated. Failure would condemn future generations to sectarian tyranny – or worse. The war against terrorism must be fought on two fronts simultaneously: the military battle is essential, but the ideological battle must be fought just as aggressively.

No ideology that teaches the slaughter of innocent civilians can be considered a religion. If Islam is not willing to recognize and accept this as a fundamental principal, then the rest of the world must consider Islam to be the enemy of civilization. If Islam does accept this principle, then Islam must disassociate the religion from the ideology of the fanatics and join the war to eliminate from its midst the al-Qaida belief system and practice.

The Western world should unite around this requirement and exert diplomatic and economic pressure to squeeze the fanatics into isolation and oblivion. The political reality, however, suggests that the Western world will not unite. Spain crumbled in intimidation when terrorists struck the trains. Russia, Germany and France looked the other way while Saddam extracted billions of dollars from the oil-for-food program and openly rewarded the families of homicide/suicide bombers.

The United States is likely to bear the weight of war against terrorism on both fronts. If the next generation of Americans is to have any hope of freedom, the current generation must recognize that victory in war against terrorism cannot be measured by the withdrawal date from Iraq. Iraq is a crucial battleground for both the military and the ideological war. The suicide/homicide bombers will continue to crawl out of their hiding places until the Iraqi Muslims decide whether they want to be a part of the civilized world, or a haven for fanatics.

Many nations in the Muslim world are just beginning to realize that they, too, will have to make similar decisions. America cannot falter in its will or its leadership. Freedom is too precious to let it be extinguished by our own apathy, impatience or fear. Americans must speak up and support those who demand that Islam join the civilized world by helping to exterminate the terrorist fanatics.

Ya know John, I keep hearing that 'we've never seen suicidal maniacs like this before', but that's simply not true.

I guess the word 'kamikaze' doesn't ring many memory bells anymore. We have seen this kind of thinking before and we saw it less less than a generation ago.

One of the reasons that Truman decided to drop 'the big one' on Japan was that he and the rest of the American war planners were convinced that American troops would have to fight through a nation of suicidal maniacs screaming 'banzai' at them while charging at American troops.

We have seen this before. We have dealt with this before. We can deal with it again. All that's lacking is the political will to do so.

In 1944 all the Japanese had were some outdated Zeros and soldiers following the tenants of Bushido willing to load their planes with high explosives so they could become guided missiles aimed at American warships.

Fast forward 60 years and the islamofascists have willing soldiers, modern aircraft, and pretty damned soon they may have access to some nukes they can 'banzai' into Jerusalem, Haifa, Baghdad, Riyadh, or God forbid New York..again.

I'm getting mighty tired of reading about how these islamic nutjobs are something we've never seen before and we just don't know how to deal with it. That's crap.

Another part of the lie is the statement that 'they don't claim allegiance to a country'. They do. We know where they're coming from. Our guys are taking identity documents off dead jihadis by the bushel basket full. They're mostly coming from Iran and Syria, although there is a good portion of Saudis and a smattering of Chechens mixed in.

It's way past time for America to stop pussyfooting around with these murderous thugs and make it real plain to that whackjob in Iran and the House of Assad that if any more bombs go off in Iraq, bombs are going to start going off in Damascus and Tehran. And we won't aim ours at markets and mosques. We'll aim them at parliaments and Presidential palaces just like we did with Saddam.

I don't have much use for islam. I think it's a poisonous cult that Earth would be far better off without, but I'm really sick of seeing Iraqi muslims getting blown up while they're trying to buy some damned food or go to work in a factory by other muslims.

It's time we stop dicking around with Syria, Iran, and for that matter Saudi Arabia. A few well placed cruise missiles over Ahmedjeebers next 'death to America' speech or Assads next phoney baloney 'parliament' meeting will go a long way towards calming things down.

I'm sorry to spout off in your general direction my friend, but I'm getting really sick and tired of hearing about Americans dying from Iranian and Syrian IEDs. I want to see some payback, and I want to see it real soon.

You're wrong. Japan was a NATION at war. IslamoNazis have no nation.

The kamikaze pilots attacked our MILITARY ( ships in Pearl Harbor, vessels on the ocean ); not civilian targets.

A generation is considered to be 25 years long. The attack on Pearl Harbor was Dec. 7, 1941. Ergo, that's almost TWO generations ago.

Where would you suggest that we DROP THE BIG ONE, now? On every nation where Muslims live? If so, then that would mean that we would have to DROP THE BIG ONE all over America, on England, on France, on Germany, on the Philippines, on Malaysia, on China, on Russia, on Sweden, on Denmark...am I getting through to you?

Johnny JIHAD, out in California, Padilla, from Chicago, the cell near Albany, N.Y., the three they just got in Detroit; to name but a very few right here in America. Moussoui came over from France, Richard, the "show bomber" came from England, and on and on and on and I'm only naming the ones who wanted to do stuff on our soil.

No, the IslamoNazis own NO allegiance to any country; they think that they owe allegiance to whacked out OBL, his agents, and to some form of Islam.

And another thing....

President Bush said it this morning. "If you harbor or aid terrorists, we will treat you like terrorists." Those are fine words, and ones that I agree with wholeheartedly. It's just too bad he doesn't actually follow through on those fine words.

Iran is harboring terrorists. Hell, Iran is basically manufacturing terrorists. They're building them, arming them, training them, and then they're sending them over the border to kill American GIs. If they can't kill Americans they're blowing up markets full of women and kids or they're blowing up police stations, or army training centers, or assassinating elected members of the Iraqi government..

Syria is harboring terrorists. Syria is doing the same f****** thing the Iranians are doing. These aren't just terrorists acts John. These are Acts Of War. I mean real live honest to God no sh** Acts Of War.

In the 1780s President Jefferson sent the US Navy after 'pirates' who were preying on US merchant vessels for less provocation than the Iranians and the Syrians are pulling now. He didn't stop until the Barbary Coast pirates were swinging from yardarms and their ships were either burned to their waterlnes or sunk outright.

In the first few years of the 19th Century President Madison and Congress declared War on England because they thought it was alright to attack American ships and press gang American citizens into serving on British ships. Hell, the Brits tried really hard not to kill American sailors, they wanted to make them British sailors but we still declared War on them...

Now we've got at least two governments openly supporting terrorists and sending them into a friendly country so they can kill Americans. What the Hell are we waiting for?

Why does Iran still have any functioning military bases at all?

Why haven't we reduced their 'parliament' to ashes?

Why aren't we actively aiding and arming the Iranian resistance?

Why haven't we sent a US Armored Division into Syria with instructions to reduce anything that resists to ashes?

Once again JH, I sorry to point my torch in your direction, but I'm rapidly losing my patience. I'm sick of seeing ordinary Iraqis blown to pieces by these thugs, and I'm especially angered at the daily reports of US service men and women being injured and killed by these monsters masquerading as human beings.

Damn....where's the Tylenol....

OK, so I was wrong on the generation thing.

But, you're wrong in that there's no nation state sponsoring this crap.

There are two principal sponsors right now. They are Syria and Iran. Our guys are finding hundreds of 'insurgents' from these two countries.

Yea, I'm saying we should start bombing them. Maybe not with nukes yet, but we should be bombing them and I mean yesterday.

There shouldn't be a functioning military base in Iran left when we're done. There shouldn't be one left in Syria either. Reduce them to scrap. Then bomb their armies and their 'religious police' headquarters. Kill them. Kill them by the hundreds. Hell, kill them by the thousands if that's what it takes.

Target those mullahs in Iran. Target their homes. Target their offices. Target their mosques. We have the means. All we lack is the will.

I want Ahmedjabeeber dead. I want his goon squads dead. I want his house reduced to rubble. I want him to look skyward every day of his miserable life in fear that an American missile has a lock on his ass.

I want Assad dead. I want his kids dead. I want his entire line purged from the face of the Earth. I want those murderous nutjobs that follow him reduced to pink mist and grease stains on the ground.

President Bush said it. He said it today.

Now I want his words followed by actions. For every single IED that goes off in Iraq I want 10 American missiles going off in Iran and Syria. For every single US casualty I want a thousand jihadis dead. For every Iraqi woman and kid killed in a market, I want a thousand Iranian fedayeen wiped off the face of the Earth.

Am I pissed? You bet your ass I am. I'm sick and tired of watching bomb after bomb go off while nothing is done to the monsters who plan, pay for, aid, and abet it.

I want the leash snapped off our guys, and I want it done now.

Kill them. Kill them in large numbers and without mercy. Kill them until they stop fighting.

One can only hope that there is a whole lot of quiet, covert action that is going on, thankfully, unreported.

Mullahs who screech murder and hatred make far more money for their families than the mullahs who preach moderation. the mullahs and the money behind them are the core problem.

I'm with you, in spades. Appeasing Islam is not worth the life of one innocent and history shows us there is really only one way to take the fight out of an aggressive culture.

That's what the Israelis do, and they are our teachers when it comes to dealing with insane wackjob terrorists. That's because they have the experience turned into know-how. And, minus their left wing, the will to carry through.

The points you make are coming from a mindset that allows a proxy army from country to attack another and dismiss any legal connection.

Immediately after 9/11 and in the run up to the Chiraq, Schroeder (and lesser extent Roe S. Korean Elections) reelections, dirty Arab money in the amount of about 121B was moved into these two European Economies. These two countris took that money and together with their already anti-American campaigns went into verbal overdrive and political support at the UN and liberal MSM. Europes sagging economies got an economic shot in the arm, their politicians got a lift and didn't have to face the socialist economy economic fallout at that time and Saudi financing bought politically allies.

It is only now that France has run out of economic steam and is finally re-joining American - Bush let them come back into the fold without further embrassment and now they aid in Lebannon and Syria. Germany tossed their socialist anti-American mouth piece who is now in Oil as Puttin will also be once he steps down in Russia. The implicaitons of economic-political relationships make countries allies. Getting around to allies and those who advocate trade bans with Israel and have gone further in proclaiming American an enemy at the same time leave US (America) in a bind as you have the same quandry as in US politics, e.g., Democrates who are socialist anti-God power grubbers who love dictators and then you have other political divide of Republicans who are logical when it comes to dealing with terror.

You sound more like type who not deal with terrorism emminating from a country and would not recognize the purse strings, whether Government or private that fund terrorism.

JHII has it correct. I feel the only part he has failed to articulate for the faint of heart is that terrorism will hit democrat political voting blocks (City's and Metro Areas); coupled with the "faint's" lack of faith and love for anything Republican, they will be killed by the very instrument they used politically to challenge this Administration - and hand future Republican Administrations the reigns of power.

Back to your analogy of generations, some of us are baby boomers hence you fail to comprehend old world relaity and are doomed to repeat hisory forgotton - play with words, assign governments to Islam, hide the terrorism as something without a way to defeat all you like... for if a few arab cities were toasted (God forbide and therefore not by Bush but more likely Chiraq's France), or a few of their governments flipped and monetary systems realigned (Bush style) by invasion and regime chang, you destroy all but the element that Liberals understand, e.g., criminals - at that time only will your arguements reasonnate.

These guys know they cannot defeat the US in a traditional war. That's why countries like Iran and Syria use the tactic of "Asymmetrical Warfare". So they can attack us with impunity. Until we get over all this PC krap, get the libs to stop obsessing about a capitalist US President, and aggressively go after these countries, were in a world of hurt as far as I'm concerned.

Nothing is going to happen to them until we get hit again. Don't you know that? In fact, we probably need to be hit hard a couple of more times before a political will to do something begins to emerge. And even then, the Democrats will fight it all the way.
