Casa de Maryland, a taxpayer funded group that assists illegal immigrants, has made a public threat to the children of the grassroots Minuteman Civil Defense Corps that have made headlines since last fall monitoring day labor centers in the Washington DC area.
An article published yesterday by the Sean Sands of Maryland Community Newspapers Online quoted Casa de Marylands Executive Director Gustavo Torres saying We are going to picket their houses, and the schools of their kids and go to their work. If they are going to do this to us, we are going to respond in the same way, to let people know their neighbors are extremists, that they are anti-immigrant. They are going to hear from us.
The Minutemen have been photographing contractors picking up illegal aliens for work at the Wheaton day laborer center in Maryland spurring conflict with the illegal immigrant supporters.
Casa de Maryland, according to their own website, was designed to address the multiple conditions of poverty and disenfranchisement that control the lives of many Latino immigrants and refugees and achieves its goals through programs in areas such as leadership, organizing, women's empowerment, tenant support, employment, legal services, health, education, social services, and immigration assistance.
Casa de Maryland offers an email and phone number where someone can coordinate potential employers with experts in construction, carpentry, landscaping, babysitting, housekeeping, painting tiling, moving, odd jobs and more. Casa de Maryland claims to have placed approximately 5,760 men and women in different daily, temporary and permanent job settings in 2004.
The group's website states Casa de Maryland has partnered with Clark Construction, Allentuck Landscaping Company and AFL-CIO to provide those seeking employment with jobs.
From Casa de Marylands 2004-2005 annual statement the Minuteman Civil Defense Press Corps found 51% of the groups $2.7 million came directly from grants issued on behalf of Montgomery County.
In response to the threats, Minuteman Civil Defense Corps President Chris Simcox said, Threatening children like this is outrageous. Casa de Marylands funding should be pulled and its contracts cancelled. It is beyond belief that taxpayer dollars are funding this thuggish behavior."

This should be seen as a threat and dealt with accordingly. I know if I were to receive notice that my home, children, and workplace would be targets of this group, I would feel threatened!!!
I'm not sure why some people don't understand that "illegal" means "against the law" where immigration is concerned. It's as if they actually intend to get around to it 'someday.'
Truth is, it costs about $75 to pay for an INS card. And you have to have some citizen sign off that you won't apply for benefits for 3 yrs. But, then the anchor baby comes and voila! You get to apply for food stamps and medicaid for le bebe! >:o(
I'm right there with you- Don't mess with my children either. This group is on the wrong side of the law and should not be allowed to receive taxpayer funds, and should be prosecuted for aiding criminals and for the threats made against the Minutemen and their families.
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.
If anyone attacks Americans, we Americans have the right and duty to protect ourselves, our neighbors, and our country.
Anyone know where this place is in Wheaton?
So why don't people go online and publish the names and addresses of the organizers of this group?
Plus, why is the AFL-CIO involved in this? I'm sure their rank and file would have something to say about illegals taking their work.
Quit complaining about illegal immigrants - you are forgetting to obey the command of the infallible genius George Bush who says this is only "family values moving northward". Democrats want to redistribute property, Republicans want to redistribute the population. Don't know which is worse.
And GWB and the yes men wonder why normal Americans are sick and tired of foreginers?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the local radio station also said Casa Maryland is also funded by some Barbara Bush organization. Anybody know anything about this?
Don't bet on it. The criminal invaders are legal "untouchables," but if you go after them in return, expect to meet some very angry feds.
Stop this outrageous taxpayer funded racist group.
That was my thought. AFL-CIO is usually VERY protectionist when it comes to their jobs. Union jobs for Union workers-period. Unless illegals automatically get union membership when they cross the border???? They must be getting something for supporting this group.

He's not only leading the invasion in Maryland, he's damned ungrateful to America as well:

"In a world of criminals who operate above the law".
And I thought it was just a TV show from the 80s..
Casa de Maryland, a taxpayer funded group
I want to know more about this group's taxpayer funding, someone needs to write a few letters to those who allowed, or supported this group to receive taxpayer funds. Some official, somewhere needs a few emails about this decision.
CW2 ... the storm is brewing
Will threats like his remove his taxpayer funding?
