And yet the same folks posting here about "Bush and sweetheart deals" will be mum on this. No conflict of interest there, oh no, no mention of Daschle's wife as was so common back then. LOL
I disagree with the deal and someone accused me of saying "Bush is EVILLLLLL". There's nasty rhetoric on both sides and it's a shame. We disagree and we can talk. So what's gotten into everyone else?! ;)
As to the Ohio terrorists, I heard that they were naturalized citizens. At any rate, they were HERE, and not in Dubai.

The thought occurred to me that it would be better to hand over control of port operations to the Mob, rather than a UAE-owned company. They'd get along swimmingly with the guys who actually work there, and probably are better overall security risks than the Muslims.... (laughs)

Keeping things civil and non-inflammatory as always, I see. What is your point in struggling to come up with examples of "home-grown" terrorists? It's been done a lot by many different people in the past couple days, and the obvious insinuation in these posts is that terrorists are no more likely to come from the middle east than anywhere else. It is a silly position and it is what the defenders of the ports deal have been reduced to.
Yeah, and if I was a royal subject of the Kingdom of the Emirates, I'd be interested in that math.

Not a leftist remark. I'm not in favor of this contract. Something just doesn't seem right with it all. The Congress should and will investigate this and in the long run, I think the contract will be rejected. BTW, the same company might be involved with the Port of Tampa.
We have sleeper cells here. All across this country. Do you not understand that? The fact, yes fact, that two 911 terrorists came from the UAE is irrelevent to this port deal.
Know why? Because they did not arrive on our shores in cargo ships.
Since 911, incoming flights have been better scutinized, but the country of their origin means nothing.
Y'all are trying to insinuate that the UAE is a terrorist breeding ground and that is simply not true.
