Freeper Research Project: Freeper personality tests
Jung Personality Test ^ | February 23, 2006 | Alamo-Girl

Posted on 02/23/2006 9:20:32 AM PST by Alamo-Girl

Would you like to learn a little more about yourself and your fellow posters on Free Republic? If so, you might enjoy this Freeper Research Project.

It began on another thread where people were testing themselves for “nerdiness”. Great fun was had by all.

Along the way, Freeper patton posted a link to the Jung personality test.

What an adventure! I took the test for the first time and found out I am an INFJ (I=44, N=75, F=25, J=25).

Because we were sharing the results of our tests on that thread, I was pleasantly surprised to discover three other Freepers with the same personality type. And, naturally, being curious – some of us went to yet another link to find out what the code means and what famous people are INFJs:

Type Logic

The strange part is that INFJ’s are the smallest in the general population, but among those posting on the thread, INFJs were in the majority. Does that mean that INFJ’s are drawn to Free Republic or to those kinds of tests, or are more willing to discuss such things?

At any rate, it is a delightful musing about this forum, the posters we are drawn to (or against): does the Jung personality test have anything useful to say to us?

If you are interested or perhaps would just like to have some fun, take the test and check out the results. And if you’re willing, post your results here on this thread so that we can all “compare notes”.

The results so far:

INFJ: Indy Pendance, Knitting a Conundrum, Grey-whiskers, Alamo-Girl

INTJ: John O (67,62,25,67), hosepipe (11,50,19,56), Cyclopean Squid (44,100,62,56)

INTP: marron

ENFJ: .30Carbine (1,50,75,22) , phantomworker (39,57,40,12)

You may or may not believe this, but I originally had a comma after "apparently" in my comment, but I recalled a comment from YOU, specifically taking me to task over excessive commas in my posts. I removed it, thinking of you. And whaddya know, it still bites me in the butt. LOL.

As much as I've ridden your butt about commas, I believe you. ROFLOL!

You know (and I know you do), on a very deep level, this is beyond "irony." It must be. There has to be a logical conclusion here somewhere...

I'll get back with you on that.

Maybe.

I'm an INFJ too, Alamo-Girl!

(17 19 50 56)

BUT there was also a message saying I had only answered two of the questions and to use the BACK button if I wanted to answer more. When I went back all of the answers were there as I was pretty sure they would be, so I re-submitted - got the same message. There may be something wrong with the scorer.

I think it is reasonable for all of the NTJs to get together, of course this would be a shadow orginization, with tentacles everywhere. The world wouldn't even know what hit them until it is too late. Bwa ha ha ha ha!!!!!

ENFP is one of the sides to my personality, too. Apparently we can be serious or funny at the turn of a silly switch. That's me. I guess my other side is ENFJ, like you, depending on my mood. LOL!!

When did you become a forest ranger?

Probably about the same time you became a mathematician. :-)

The description of me as an ISFJ is surprisingly accurate, except for the fact that I will fight, I don't run for a supervisor or a higher authority.

There's got to be more than two ISTPs here!

LOL!

How do you think I feel? (or is that, how do you feel I think?)

I'm the only one of my type here.

Gak!

Thank goodness. I'm an ENFP who occasionally wanders to the ENFJ side.

Not many of us here.

(Of course, from the looks of things that keeps us from being, uh, silly.)

Me too, exactly - which is funny and makes me wonder if that is true for all the other ISFJ's on FR.
