Yesterday, I heard somebody decided execution by lethal injection is "cruel" and/or "unusual" punishment.
Now, this. I suppose tasers will eventually be banned.
The criminals win another round.

The true tragedy of this incident is that it appears nobody thought to videotape it.

That's worth at least $5,000,000. Was the guy a minority? He can say it was racially motivated and now ask for $10,000,000.

A Taser probe pierced the pocket of his khaki shirt -- and ignited the butane lighter inside. Cassidy's pocket exploded in flames. Ohhhh. Wow strong "luck". "The subject," recounted Sgt. Al Tolley in a subsequent report, "immediately dropped the knife."
...LOL. Victoly!

That's what is called a "Shake & Bake"
Usually happens after Tasering someone that was already hosed down with older "alcohol based" Mace.

50,000 volts, at Crouch's chest
I'd guess that was a bigger concern than the fire.
To: stm
Crouch said he had been drinking at the time....
Lucky it was only the lighter that ignited. Alcohol burns quite well.
To: stm
I hope the guy gets some help for his problems. This really isn't funny.
