I would love to see this become the battle cry at every public appearance Ted Kennedy makes from now on.

The "go get him, threaten, intimidate him" reaction toward the student reminds me of bubba clinton sending the cops after someone on a rope line, someone who DARED voice his objection to clinton.

THANK GOD THE ADULTS ARE IN CHARGE at the White House. It grants a reprieve to the law abiding citizenry.

"Free speech" is calling Bush "Hitler". Not reminding the public of the abuse of power by a political dynasty.

I just gave the student police a call and simply said "Remember Chappaquiddick" and hung up (508) 588-9100 EXT.111. If we started a call in maybe they would get the message to lay off this kid or this will get bigger than they ever wanted it to be.

Good thing those campus cops ain't got caller ID. Suggest you write the college President a repectable and thoughtful letter of appreciation for his support of free speech. Say "bless your heart' alot.

I'm sure they do have caller ID. I'm not worried.

""One of my teachers called me ignorant and told me this was an embarrassment to the school," Trost told WND. "She said to me, 'Can't you forgive him after all these years?' And I said, 'No, he killed somebody.'"

Having ted at the school - now that's the embarassment.

Calling him on his past - that's honor!

Good idea. Also inundate the college prez with emails. Until he drowns in conservative rhetoric. With no air pocket.

The student was just following the precedent set by Code Pinkos.

Remember the President's Inauguration?

There should be no action against the student- he was only following the behavior of adults he has seen in the news.

Maybe self-loathing, too. How else explain the patheric campaign against Carter in 1980. He must know he is nothing except bluster.

"...the kid did go about this the wrong way. But then, he did say he leans lib."

I completely agree. For all we know "Remember Chappaquiddick" are the only intelligent words this kid has ever said, and he had to resort to the liberal methods of interruption and heckling to get them out. Don't get me wrong, I am as against Chappaquiddick Fats as any conservative, but I am not ready to give this kid the VP spot on the '08 GOP ticket because of this. In my opinion we ought to leave disrespecting of the office of U.S. Senator to "Jabba the Ted" and his party, they seem to being doing a goood enough job. The correct way to handle the Kennedy murder is the way Coulter does, bring it up every time there is an opportunity and it is your turn to speak.

Wonder what he will do with the school once he wins the lawsuit for all the things he will be able to sue them for?

'Can't you forgive him after all these years?'

I'd have forgiven him had he admitted what he did and been properly punished, but it is too late for that to happen now. He has lived an elite life to which he had no right. I don't know who is the worst, him or the voters who continue to elect him. A pox on them all.

The Free Speech Movement at Berkeley was never about free speech. It was always about control.

"You seem very naieve"

My bad. After a statement like that I usually put "(sarc.)" following it. Oversight on my part. BUT, I DO KNOW HOW TO SPELL "NAIVE". It's called a "Dictionary"; check it out.
