I wouldn't give up on them so quickly. At 21 I wasn't the least bit concerned with what was going on in the world and if I had to label myself back then, aside from overall apathy, I would say when I did have an opinion on an issue it tended to be more liberal. As time marched on and I grew up that egocentric view of life changed drastically and by my late 20's I was staunchly conservative and well versed in politics. Give them time, we all grow up at different paces.

Where is the ACLU protecting this guy's rights? The ACLU is not interested in this kid's case. The kid dissed one of the ACLU's political benefactors. Thus any abuse the kid gets is well deserved and not a violation of anyone's rights, except Kennedy's, who's right to keeping this kind of crap under wraps to avoid embarrassment was usurped by the kid's shouting, as far as the ACLU is concerned.

He waited until the next day to report the incident to the authorities?Well, he reported it to the Harvard Crimson within the hour. Is there something else he should have done?

That is such a well-stated encapsulation of these events that I have saved it to a file.
Exactly. I did the same. Thanks Bon mots. What a pig and coward is Ted Kennedy.
To: CrawDaddyCA
What he SHOULD do is put the event on his resume, and then change schools if necessary.

How about if it had been Cindy Sheeham yelling something out at a Rumsfeld speech? Then her invitation to speak at commencement would be assured ;o)

This kid is a hero and if the school takes the dumb course of sanctioning him over a free speach issue then fellow conservatives I think then we have an issue to rally around.

Sing,
Chill, I am not a fan of the swimmers but look at the date of the photo.
This was therapy for the plane crash he was in in 64' I believe.
It was either an Aero-Commander or a Piper Aztec, bad crash, pilot didn't survive if my memory is correct.
Google it to get the real scoop.
By the way this kid has Brass Ones, The Peoples Socialist Republic of Massachusetts and the Apparatchiks running it will not take kindly to this. I suggest he transfer to a Red State. I am a defector from the PSRM.
