Ah yes it's so much better to have a President that takes a poll before making a decision. Agree with the President or not, he's the one with the job, and I respect his decision even if I disagree. As far as the reaction, why should that be his problem? Being President isn't about popularity.

And for those complaining about the deal, give me a realistic alternative, that won't take years to implement.

I have always been under the impression that it may be Duabi's and UAE's oil money but it Palestinian professionals who keep the country running.

If security concerns are addressed, why not both?

Did any American company even submitt a proposal?

Why not plant the seeds now for some American companies to compete.....tax breaks and such?

Great idea. But what do we do in the meantime?

Have you ever heard of the concept of "humor?"

It's frustrating to read an article and by the 3rd sentence, you know you've done more researching than the author. *sigh*

If SSA Marine did not offer to do it, what the hell do you want us to do? Force them?

I caught that too. The author's first premise is that no American company can do it which is demonstrably false. There already exist capable US companies already in the biz. I guess no one here can pick lettuce, hang sheet rock, or blow leaves either. Better farm it out.

I don't call defending your country bigotry. I don't wish to argue about this but it is okay to disagree with the President, no matter the party.

IF security concerns are addressed, I wouldn't have such a problem - IF (giant IF here, 40-point font), Mohammed and Achmed are not also employed by, working for, part of, or otherwise reporting to a foreign government.

"Did any American company even submitt a proposal?"

I have no idea. But, I spent my entire working life in senior management positions in major American corporations and I know that the statement that NO American corporation could perform this task is pure BS.
