Oh another criminal loving judge appointed by the "moderate" President Clinton. The same president that polls show a majority of Americans think did such a great job. It makes me ill.

Families of murder victims might as well get used to knowing there will never be real justice. You can't even put the scumbags to sleep because it is too cruel, says the left. I would be for eliminating the DP if there were a sentence of life with hard labor, or solitary confinement. But how often does that happen anymore? Surely the criminal coddlers believe this too is cruel and inhumane.

According to Dr. Dean, he learned when he was Governor of Vermont that convicted murderers present a special problem for death penalty opponents. That's because the statistics show that a very high percentage of them kill again ~ maybe when they get out, but frequently someone else in a prison. Could be a guard, could be another prisoner ~ could be a visitor, but it's almost certain someone will die simply because a convicted murderer is not executed.

Judge Fogel knows this. He sees in this Morales guy an almost certain future killing of some non-violent offender, or a prison guard.

Fogel is, as it were, evil.

The judge ruled no such thing. As concerned as you are with this case, you should at least get the facts straight.

Well now in all fairness to Sandy, he may have a point in suggesting you're jumping the gun and presuming the judge was referring specifically to an 8th Amendment violation. After all, the judge could just as well have been referring to a 1st Amendment violation since the pain might have caused the prisoner to scream the Lord's name, and that would have been a clear "establishment" clause violation!   J

BTW, I knew Judge Fogel personally in his pre-judge days and can tell you that even back then, he was a leftist and a member and supporter of the ACLU. When he became a state court judge, he did his best to cover those tracks.
