Posterboard is up on screen showing translations of what Saddam and Tariq Aziz said on the tapes released this weekend at the Intelligence Summit. It sounds like former UN inspector Tierney is the one reading the translations.

It is not the ABC version. Tierney has said the ABC version of what is on the tapes is completely inaccurate, and that is a big reason he has been so outspoken on this issue.

The website Intelligencesummit.org, has the COMPLETE PRESENTATION ON SADDAM'S WMDs presented by Bill Tierney that was shown on CSPAN available on its website in a powerpoint/slide display. There is also audio in Arabic of the original recordings. Apparently there will also be video of the summit presentations with speakers Tierney, Shaw, Loftus and Bodansky, but I haven't seen them yet.

IMO, it is unfortunate that the tapes were released to the media for interpretation PRIOR to the finish of the summit and before the attendees could get the correct interpretation out. I heard that part of the reason there was little media Saturday morning was because ABC had already covered it. Unfortunately, they and CNN, who is using their own interpreter, have misinterpreted by implying that there is no proof on the tapes that Saddam had wmds, that an attack was NOT imminent, and that an attack would NOT be coming from Iraq. In fact, the tapes do show evidence of wmds, the wmds were moved, and an attack would be coming, but could not be proven to come from Iraq (by proxy)

HARRIS: Octavia, just a quick question. Anywhere on the tapes that you listened to so far do we have Saddam Hussein talking about Iraq launching an attack against the United States?

NASR: No, no, no, not at all. As a matter of fact, he does talk about an attack on the United States. And he said that he himself warned the Americans of that, that possibility, but he says when that happens it's not going to be coming from Iraq.

So he makes it clear, lucky for him, I guess, on this tape. He says -- he does talk about an imminent attack on the U.S. but he does say that this attack won't be coming from Iraq. "

He is being railroaded. To many things are keep under lid then later surface. Then the "protectors", jump into the fray and close things down before any damage is done to those in high places that lets say acted with less then honorable intentions .

Daniel Sudnick, the CPA's senior advisor to Iraq's Ministry of Communication, reported his concerns over Shaw's efforts to the Pentagon's inspector general, who later turned the investigation over to the FBI.
