Lack of exercise? A cat??? Yes, actually. That's why keeping your kitties indoor-only is such a bad idea. But don't tell that to my town - it's supposedly illegal for me to let my cats out to get exercise (unless they are on a leash - haha!).

It's Chairman Meow!Actually, the Chinese word for cat IS "Mao" -- only said with a different inflection, or more accurately, pitch (so they consider it a different word), IIRC.

It is properly called "tones". Also interestingly, it is of the same sound only in Mandarin. In my native Cantonese Mao Zedong's surname would be pronounced "mo" (with a low tone) while the word for cat would be "maow" (with a high tone).

I dont know how big my cat is, but the other day he was standing on the scale with only his front 2 paws, and the scale was saying 11 lbs. His diet is 1 - 10 lb bag of cat food a month, and all the wabbits, moles, field mice, birds, etc he can catch. He usually catches at least one of the above each day. He is 18 months old.

The massive Maine Coon moggie from Chicago weighs 35lbs and measures a record-breaking 47.9ins from nose to tail. If that's a real picture that's a nice looking cat. I don't understand why a fat 33# cat would be noteworthy; what's impressive is cats that are heavy but not fat (like that orange Main Coon).

That's three times more than I ever fed my family when everyone was home. With a cat that ravenous, I'd sure lock the door when I went to sleep at night.
To: ntnychik
LOL, I think I'd lock him out too. Maybe he could take care of the coyotes and bears. Naaa, he can't hardly walk!!
