Well in prepration for the Dubai port deal all day every day Media storm approaching, here is what the Port story is about.
A DNC press release was sent out by Chucky Schumer for the Democrat Senate Election Committee. It is full of rumor, innuendo and guilt by association. A bunch of junk journalists picked up the story and with out checking a SINGLE fact printed the story. A bunch of meat head grandstanding Republicans Congress Critters on Kneepads, read the story and freaked out WITHOUT bothering to find out a single fact.
The Security Agencies, who did all the investigation and background checks were blown off or sneered at by the Democrats, their junk journalists propagandists and Republican Congress critter Media whores. Meanwhile the FACTS of the case are being ignored in order for everyone to gleefully parrot a DEMOCRAT Press release.
HERE is the logical diagram on this story. A company based in UAE is taking over port operations. UAE is an Arab Country. Arabs committed 9-11. Bush is turning Port Security over to the Terrorists! Not ONE fact or logically valid assumption is presented in any of these stories. The fact that the Port Operation company has NO security functions is either willfully or inadvertently left OUT of the story. Instead it is all basically a racist, guilty by accusation and rumor smear job. The people who ACTUALLY know the facts like DHS etc are being laughed at or ignored so supposedly "Conservatives" can gleefully push Democrat Election Campaign propaganda. Simply amazing how willfully ignorant some "Conservatives" are about how the Junk Journalists lie to them. Just like Flush the Koran, Rather Gate, Fitzmus, Downing Street Memo and dozens and dozens of other LIES manufactured by the DNC and fed to the Failed Media, THIS story is a LIE.
I didn't like it from the minute I found out about it...but, I have been trying to read anything I find about it...just in case I am missing something..
I have doubts about it...BUT, anything that has Schumer and Hillary beating the drum against it..makes me suspicious as well...
SOOOO....I am trying not to knee-jerk...but, right now I am hearing Rep. Peter King on Hannity right now...and he is vehemently against it as well...and I trust him.
BTW..since there is no Hannity thread...there are a couple of things I have to say re: Hannity.
First of all...I have heard a couple callers call and ask him questions about it....and he has seemed like he is pretty ignorant about aspects that I know have been posted several times in the last week, here on Free Republic...so, I think that Sean has NOT studied this very much...
Also...(and please don't flame me as a Hannity basher, but)...a man called and sounded like he as accusing Sean of ignoring the border problem...and Sean rightly told him that HE, Sean, had spent a lot of time bashing Bush about the border and illegal immigration issue...and had even visited the border quite a few times...
That part was fine...but, the man that called said that he knows that a lot of his friends are so mad that they don't feel that they can vote for Republican next time...and if the GOP doesn't watch out...a third party will be started by someone who IS running on a close the border, get rid of illegals platform...and that remember, Clinton was elected with only 43% of the vote...
Unfortunately, Sean answered the guy saying that "I can see if John McCain doesn't win the GOP primary, that HE will start that 3rd party that you are talking about"...
Imagine MY surprise at that...because McCain has written an immigration bill with KENNEDY that is almost totally AMNESTY!!...so McCain would be one of the WORST candidates to run as a 3rd candidate on the boder issues.
Sean...needs to do his homework...and I say this as a fan...I think he has worked tirelessy for Bush and the GOP...and for the TROOPS..which is more important.
BUT...I just wanted to get this off my chest, since I couldn't find a Hannity thread to see if any of you guys heard the same things...
If I am wrong on any of this...don't hesitate to call me on it...I may be getting a "wrong take" from him.

How much you wanna bet these speeches by Gore and Clinton were planned to fall in line with the ports

I don't know if Sean WANTS McCain...because he touts him, when he has him on his show...but today, he is having on Newt...so he will touting him...
I don't think Sean....like most of us...has a clue WHO to back at this point...but, if he backs McCain, it will be for personal reasons than conservative.
BTW...I would like to start a Peter King for POTUS petition...he seems very UP on things...and he has been a good spokesperson for Bush's agenda in the past...
I tuned in late to Brit's show and he was just finishing up a report with Major Garrett...it seems this *contract* is sitting on Bush's desk and he has until March 2nd to sign or squash it....did I hear this right?
What a good catch about McCain/third party/immigration. You need to write Sean snail mail so he'll be sure to read it and offer to do his research for him!
Sean is okay on some issues and a lightweight on others, imo.
As to Schumer and Hillary being opposed to the port deal, even a Democrat has to be right once a century or so. LOL
Schumer praising Haliburton! DU'ers must be about ready to throw him overboard about now.

I didn't watch Gibson's show today. Darn it. I've had a headache... if Gibson is doing his radio show today, maybe he'll address it.

He didn't throw it out .. the question was asked to him by John .. about what company had the money and the dealings to handle the ports
John mentioned Haliburton and Chuckie said it would be fine with him and that he trusted Haliburton alot more then the UAE
Instead of saying something like .. it's something to look at and possible .. Chuckie over stepped it by saying how much he trusted Haliburton
If McCain runs 3rd party, it'll be for 2 reasons:
1. he failed to get the GOP nomination in a nasty fight
2. his political hero is none other than Theodore (Moose Party) Roosevelt.
