They're in full blown "Hissy-Fit" mode over this, aren't they?

The media's response is comical, really. I'm fully enjoying the entertainment value of their hysteria. I hope it lasts at least another week.

Well, the MSM has plenty to be mad about.

1. They got scooped by a local paper.

2. Whittington didn't die.

3. Cheney isn't being charged with anything.

4. Whittington doesn't hate Cheney.

So yeah, they're even angrier than usual.

"He lost control of his emotions," Freck says.

Whoops, I thought it was another David Gregory story!

These "journalists" are going to be tracking down experienced hunters and sportsmen for weeks to let us all know what a lapse in judgment Cheney suffered. It was a hunting accident, period.

Yeah, sure. I believe, Steve. Great sourcing. The Tooth Fairy told me so.

If Mr. Whittington isn't upset over it, why should anyone else be?

Just the leftstream media tying their hardest to embarrass the Bush Administration, that's all.

The MSM will continue to cover this until it completely kills the Democratic Party. The MSM, along with Howard Dean, is the greatest thing that we have going for the Republican Party and conservatives. Middle America will not tolerate any more of this BS. So, keep it up MSM!

First Cheney is a cold, unemotional robot for not immediately going to the media and making a tearful display. Now he is a wild, emotional wreck with a gun. Maybe he was too intensely focused on his prey and that contributed to the accident. A misstep like that is "losing control" of emotions? I guess the media are making it sound like he had some sort of tantrum and shot his friend in a fit of rage. That is absurd. And how many toxic emotions did Bill Clinton exhibit and Newsweek was enthralled with him.

That rush is one of the reasons hunters love the sport.

What a moron! Killing an animal is not a "sport". It's a barbarity. Unless you're killing it for food, there's no reason to kill a living creature. Blood-thirsty "pro-life" hypocrites.

According to someone who was at the scene, the lawyer had been hunting for a bird he shot. He was in a depression and starting to climb up when Cheney turned to shoot his bird. Cheney was facing the setting sun at that point and his vision may have been blown.

I just "love" that title - thank God we have a VP who cares about his wounded friend enough to show some emotion about the whole ordeal. The MSM still doesn't get it do they? After initially reporting this subject, it is actually none of our business. Let it go already.

They are getting dirt all over themselves from their desperate digging at what is now a dead story. As those dignified media professionals such as Katie Couric like to say, "Well, duh! Get over it!"
