the problem with Gitmo is not the UN - its the US federal courts, and our own congress.
NO offense, but calm down. I watched Graham earlier and again a bit ago. Graham really did not say anything that is that outrageous. On the surface, Graham is correct. What you and I react to is the underlying realizations and truths that Graham does not say.
In "theory" there should be no reason every congressman should not have access to information. In "reality" there are plenty of reasons. Graham did not address that aspect.
I admit I have problems with Graham from time to time, but usually my problems are based on my perceptions of what he said without giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Here you go; a few freepers heard this on the Sean Hannity show as well:
ABC news reported that Saddam said a WMD attack was coming to America, but it wouldn't be by Iraq. The actual translation that ABC hid is that Saddam said HE would use proxies so it couldn't be TRACED to Iraq.

Yeah- I think you are right....I sent Still Smoking and Black Sheep.......
but I think the comedies are definitely more what they would like....
oh- and they tell me they like CHOCOLATE! LOL!
Thanks for doing so much for our brave troops!
GOD BLESS YOU!
e.c.
My issue with what he said is the he didn't address reality at all....
the REALITY is not that these things being leaked "hurt" us.. the REALITY is that these folks would NEVER pass a clearance or background check for the info they want to see....not to mention that they play politics with it- not SAFER AMERICA with it......
not to mention that the leaks HELP THE ENEMY.....they may as well be sending them transcripts of our Intelligent meetings on covert operations......oh- nevermind.... why end them when they can just let the NYT PUBLISH THEM!
I LOVED Graham during the Alito hearings and I stuck for him on the live thread......got some people not so happy wiht me for it too.....
I am not a GRAHAM hater-but his appearance today was abismal regarding THIS particular issue....
Just MHO anyway.....would rather see Herman Cain on these shows ANYDAY!
This is exactly why we should not jump to conclusions and learn more about it all.
LOL! I have my puter in the living room with my TV....
No problem. When Hannity does that, change channels. But, for those people who are new or just now getting involved in politics, this is great stuff for them. Instead of an unfettered speech, Hannity contradicts people like Rangle and that helps us in the long run.
I don't always agree with Simpson but he's always enjoyable to listen to. I'm sure he drives the left nuts, just as Zell Miller does.
Ah! Mongo straight! Sherrif Morgan just great guy!
ME TOO!
I'll even go a step farther.. I think most Americans HATE that the Gitmo GUESTS eat better than our troops... most of us would like to see them get more than menstual blood whiped on their faces.. even though THIS IS A PURE LIE ANYWAY!
When the UN stops raping INNOCENT African women and little girls- they can then start cleaning up their other messes... I don't want to hear a PEEP from them on how to handle things until they become an EXAMPLE of how to handle things... instead of a PURE EMBARRASSMENT to have on our soil.....
I didn't catch that part, but on the whole I think Britt is really one of the good guys and if you read between the lines a little you would think he might even freep some.
Thank you for your insight. I guess it does have it's place, however I stand by me previous description of Rangel.
Oh oh.....thanks for the ping.
Oh oh.....thanks for the ping.
:-)
I was thinking about Brit's remarks...after I posted...and while I was cleaning the kitchen..
I know he is one (of the few) good guys...and I can't remember the last time that I in any way disagreed with him...but, to say that last week was a slow news week..was a cop out answer...
AND, I think the reason he agreed more with the panel today, about how many problems the port problem, and Gitmo is going to cause Bush...
is because he got SO raked over the coals by just about every other news source last week....for the Cheney interview..
He was accused of throwing soft balls questions...and being an arm of the Bush Administration...blah, blah..
So...maybe he just instinctively pulled back on his regular support for what Bush has done....
That was how she looked 35 years ago when we both hung out at the "school store" at Scarsdale High School. She actually has aged well. She hasn't grown up any, that I can tell, but she's aged well.
