Goods would be delayed for an unacceptable amount of time.
Would we board every ship, open every container?
All this bullshipping about the ports is simply a case of wanting money money money and more money.
My first reaction is to say read other posts. But, I'm beyond that.
Look. If we trust Bush & Co. to do the right thing, this clearly falls into that category. Before I demonize Bush & Co., I'll listen to all the information and try to keep an open mind.
I've seen some of your past posts, and you have every reason to be cautious and concerned. Me too, for that matter.
Still, I'll wait for more information. Darn it, these things crop up and we react before learning more about it. No offense meant, but I'll wait for more information.
We sent Season 2 of 24 with Keifer Sutherland to Kirkuk some time ago, along with over a 100 other DVD's. We've stocked Bagram in Afghanistan and Baghdad with over 100 movies, etc. but they don't have any of the 24 series.
We're stocking Mosul and the bases along the border border with Syria now. I think the soldiers and Marines there are more into escapist series like Desperate Housewives up where the fighting is still going on than than are into scary movies with physical jeopardy, but that's just my impression.
I've been sending more lighter fare these last few months.
WHAT A MORON!
I do not mean to damn with faint praise, but you are stating the obvious here. ;^)
I pray you are right...
Someday when I get big, I'll have a TV in the office with my puter. For now.....it's a Rush re-run on the radio...
26 HOURS 15 MINUTES UNTIL JACK BAUER AND "24"
When the Fox Sunday show went to the first panel segment...Chris asked what they all thought was the reason the Cheney hunting accident was such a huge story this week..
and Brit disappointed me, when he blurted out..."it was a slow news week"...
BAH...it was NOT a slow news week...and we freepers have enumerated the number of big stories that were seemingly ignored because of the Cheney story...
Brit, Brit...don't fall into "media mentality"..please!
Dang...Chris Wallace just said that "one of the things I love about this story....is it gives a free shot by the dems to the White House about going right on national security"...
jeez, could he be a little more discreet in his desire to see the White House pummeled??
My man Morgan, not to embarras you but how do I say this?
Ahem.....
Phsstpok is a dude. Check out his profile page.
Love him like a brother. I do!
Thanks...that helps me know what to think about also..
Understood. It's still Hannity's call. I don't care if he repeats every liberal guest he's had over the past year. As long as he continues to support the conservative line, and as long as he continues to change hearts and minds, I could care less how repetitive or redundant he becomes.
The News cycle moves too fast for the old Magazine Print Media, by the time they have their stories, the public has moved on.IMHO this is the post of the day...The old media print Magazines are losing more and more circulation to Cable/Satellite shows, and On-line New Media. I do not read magazines at all anymore, especially Newsweak,Time, etc. It is like Evan Thomas' Communist Grandaddy is the editor for all of them. There is so much advertisement in these publications it is very hard to pick your way through the ads for the story.
I just watched the panel...discussing the port subject as well as the UN coming out and saying that we have to close Gitmo
I must say, that I was disappointed in Brit again..as well as the rest...but, I don't expect much from them..
Brit said that all of these subjects are trouble for Bush..and even said that Bush is "going to have to do something about Gitmo"...mentioning how BAD it is for Bush..
These people STILL don't understand fly-over country, do they?
Regular Americans couldn't care less if the terrorists in Gitmo stay there...and think the UN has NO right to tell US what do do...when the UN was too chicken to even help in Iraq...
Color me frustrated!!!
What a wonderful idea, Phsstpok. Thank you for doing all that. I'll be sure to bookmark it all for easy reference and help out with phone numbers as freepers make comments next Sunday.
