Heavy bombers aren't known for too much precision. My personal choice of close air support will always the AC-130.

I understand.....but I also believe the B52 are now configured with potential to launch VERY precise ordnance.

I never saw Puff The Magic Dragon in our AO, but I heard reports and have seen film...

What I've heard from family, of current Corps vintage - is they LOVE the A10 Wart Hog..

The Wart Hog is so feared by the sheetheads, that just arriving on station is enough to keep the sheetheads shitting themselves and laying low.
