Complete Olympic Schedule (Presumably updated with Results)
How do they resurface the ice on the bobsled run? Anyone know?
LOL. I happend to find that channel by going to Channel 100, the "DISH Home" channel. I check the news, sports and weather there in the morning when I drink my coffee. During college football season when TBS was carrying college football, you could go to channel 100 and watch six different camera angles of the game being carried on TBS. Select one of the camera angles, and it goes full screen and you can watch the game in it's entirety from that camera angle.
Well, it certainly isn't helping the Americans.. now is it??
Plus, the Russians circa 1980 were a hell of alot better than the NHL teams they have nowadays and those pesky little college kids still beat them because they were an actual team, not a bunch of NHL players thrown together at the last minute.
I know virtually nothing about bobsled.
Are they "driving"? What does the "brake man" do besides push at the beginning? How do they run like that on ice---do they have spikes on their shoes?
At least it's the first time in these games I've seen the USA logo on their equipment.
What's that? A Cheney report?
One night we were "watching" a Mike Tyson fight, but everybody was too cheap to buy it on PFV, so we had no screen captures.
While we were discussing what few reports we could find, hole_n_one comes on and posts that as his rendition of the fight.
Can't you see Don King ringside? :-)
I have to tell you that it was one of the most surprising things I've ever seen on FR -- and when I realized what it was, I bet I laughed for two days.
It was a classic FR moment.
LOL! Sorry I missed that.
But you must admit it could've been recycled this week during the Cheneymania!
I wasn't even on the live thread. I only know about it as legend. I still laugh every time I see Don King!
Schneider isn't a 2nd stringer....hell he's the first defensive line on one of the better Ds in the league.....
Tkachuk isn't a 2nd stringer....
Other than that though, you've got a point.
Right, I didn't mention Schneider and Tkachuk. In fact, I've seen Tkachuk play in person several years ago at a Coyotes game.
Just curious: "I was looking forward to him falling on his butt." Why? He's an American? Are you rooting for another team or -- perhaps another race?
I forgot to put the sarasm tag on that post...
I was NOT happy to see the results ahead of time...I am old-fashioned enough to want to be "surprised"...
But, thanks for the information.
Yeah...I went to weather.com a while ago...and it looked like you were in an area of precipitation, and the local news was saying we will get it off and on through Monday morning, with freezing temps...
SOOOOO...a great weekend to stay home and watch Olympics, yeah!!
Whenever I watch bobsled, I think of Fred and Barney in their car on the Flintstones...
Yabba, dabba, doo.
I remember that...I nearly died laughing...
Bode, 0 .... Ohno
Did you get to watch any of the ski jumping late last night??
I was going to Ping you ...but it was really late..
