Al-Qaeda's Sakka: I Funded Istanbul Bombings (Some interesting info)
Zaman ^ | February 18 2006 | Busra Erdal

Newly released police testimony of al-Qaeda member Louai Sakka found in case records has come the fore.

In Sakka’s statements it is written that he is the one who provided two terrorists with a passport before they organized the September 11 attacks. Sakka's testimony also gives us some clues that Murat Yuce, the Turkish driver kidnapped in Iraq, was killed by a terrorist of Sakka's choice. There were also some Turkish people who took part in the execution of Yuce.

The following was the structure of al-Qaeda, according to Sakka:

Leader Osama bin Laden, His assistants: Mohammed Atef (Abu Hafs al-Misri), Ayman al- Zawahiri (Information Minister), Seyful Adil, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (his assistant is Sakka) and Abu Mohammed Zeyyiat al-Misri (al-Qaeda's camp emir).

According to Sakka, the idea of launching a bomb attack was first brought up during a meeting with Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan in April 2001. The dossier also contains information that he received an offer from Abu Musab al-Zarqawi to be an emir while Sakka was in Iraq in 2002, when Habip Akdas asked Sakka to finance the bomb attacks on the Israeli ships.

Although attacks were initially targeted at Israeli ships in Antalya and other places occupied by Jews, said Sakka in his account to police, bad weather impeded attackers from carrying out their plan, forcing them to change their strategy.

Sakka was Zarqawi's assistant and planned with him in Iraq in 2002. One of the things that I find interesting is that Zarqawi's assistant was part of the 911 attacks, which certainly means that Zarqawi was in on it as well. One of the big media lies of 2003 and 2004 was that Zarqawi had nothing to do with al-Qaeda and certainly not 911.

Don't believe a word of this. Sakka is a lunatic. I don't mean in a Osama bin Laden sorta way. I mean in a straightjacket and padded room sorta way.

So, yes, no doubt interesting.

Let me put on my cynical hat, ok I never take that hat off. What more proof do we need that we are at war with radical Islam?.

What we really need is some proof that there is a Moderate Islam. Is there such a beast?. I'm still looking for proof.

It would be refreshing to see a Muslim country capable of supporting its populace without demonizing the US. Turkey and Jordan are close, but quiet.

Come on folks, we are at war. japan was never afforded these politically correct fantasys of perception.

are we in this war to win, or afford the newest BMW?. What would George Patton do?. Total war deserves total victory.

['What more proof do we need that we are at war with radical Islam?. ']

We Serbs (e.g. Arkan's Tigers) understood it about 15 years ago.

It's high time for the rest of Western world to catch up.

It's not going to happen. They can either blame us or realize it's their religious beliefs that are keeping them down. Which do you think they'll choose? Yep, it's not the 14th century antiquated ways, it's us...

Well, well, that's certainly inconvenient for the Democrats.

George Patton fought against uniformed militaries.

Interesting. The more surfaces in bits and pieces the more justified GWB will have been in taking the steps he did. To many people have been sort of brainwashed into thinking all the pre-invasion Iraqi intel was a bungle. It was not.

True,
but he fought to win is my point.
Maybe he is not the greatest example.

Maybe FDR is a better example. He understood the concept of total war.

I love W, but I don't believe he understands this.
