Are you sure this is "NewsMax" and not "NewsSmacks?" This reads way too much like "The Onion" or "Scrappleface" to be true. This is obviously a joke.

She did not earn
"The Order of the Purple Heart for Military Merit"

John Kerry got one for a rice wound. Makes sense to give one to Hillary.

2 awards. No scars.

So what is this? Every democratic Presidential contender has to have a Purple Heart to run for President now?

Kerry: I've got THREE purple Hearts

Clinton: Well I've got one and I didn't even get shot!

McCain: Can I get another one?

Did she include in her statement how much she hates the military and tried to get it so that military uniforms would not be worn inside the white house?

Thank God I don't have one now and I pray for my brothers and sisters who unfortunately had to bleed to get a Purple Heart. Whomever is in charge of the organization should be run out under a torch.

"..by co-sponsoring legislation for a Purple Heart commemorative stamp."

The only question would be which photo of John Kerry to use: young hippy, or "elder statesman"?

.... garnered the award without being wounded in combat - or sustaining any kind of injury at all - as is usually the case with Purple Heart recipients.

WAYYYYYYYY out of line! I don't care what the context of the article, who they're insulting or why. That statement, jovial or otherwise, is completely uncalled for and puts a stain on our past present and future deserving recipients.

Carl, you're a schmuck today, which isn't usually the case.

I cannot speak for the Marines since I was in the Army, but 27 is not too old too enlist. This is undadulterated BS as is the awarding the Purple Heart to this socialist POS. What ever possessed the MOPH to award this to her?

C'mon Carl. She did NOT, get a Purple Heart award. And she didn't "put in for it" either. From her web site:
"Washington, DC — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton was awarded the Inspirational Leadership Award by Jim Randles, National Commander for the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH). Also present for the award ceremony was Richard Weeks, New York State Commander, MOPH, who is from Albany, New York. One Member of Congress is chosen for this award each year. Senator Clinton is the first woman to receive this honor."
I dislike The Hildabeaste more than most people. But I don't think you should publish stuff that didn't happen.

"Gee, now it was probably 19 years ago - in 1975," Hillary said at the time. "I decided that I was very interested in having some experience in serving in some capacity in the military."

Oh, horse hockey. I can't imagine her getting anywhere near a recruiting station.
